53. Settling In

1 week later

Today is Zach first day of rehearsal so I was at home with the kids. I was sitting at the table with my friend Cat planning my.... I mean our wedding.

"I am so happy you chose me to plan your wedding. I am honored." she said with a smile. "No thank you Cat." I said.

"Ok so first where did you want to have the wedding?" Cat asked. "Well we wanted to have it in Central Park." I said with a smile.

Cat looked at me and started laughing. "Oh Layla. You are not in Cali anymore. This is New York. We have snow." she said trying not to laugh. "Yes I know. We want it to be like a snowy meadow theme. Are colors are going to be olive green and a light orange." I said.

Cat got serious and started to write down what I was saying. "This is new for me. I have never planned a wedding in snow..." Cat said thinking. I started to get sad. "But..." Cat started to say. I looked up at her. "For you...I will try!" she said with a smile.

"Ok now that the place and the theme are done let's talk about people. How many people do you think will be coming to the wedding?" Cat asked. I started to think. "Well my family and friends will come up to 100 people and Zach's family and friends will also be 100." I said.

"Ok so 200 people. Now who will be in the wedding besides you and Zach?" Cat said jokingly. "Well I am going to have 2 maids of honor Minerva and Monica." I said.

Cat nodded and wrote down the names. "Before Zach left for work he told me that he wanted his brother Jon Quinto to be his best man and Chris Pine to be his groomsman." I said.

Cat looked at me and smiled. "Yes I just said Chris Pine." I said with a smile. "Ok ok I am sorry I need to be more professional." she said getting serious.

I heard one of the twins start to get fussy. "I will be right back." I said getting up. I walked into the room and Joslyn was whining. "What is wrong baby girl?" I said picking her up. Once she was in my arms she stopped whining. "You just wanted some attention baby." I said kissing her on the cheek.

I walked back into the room. "Well hello Joslyn." Cat said as I sat down. "Jos say hi." I told Joslyn. Joslyn laid her head on my chest and waved her hand. "Hi." she said.

"She is so cute!" Cat said. "Thank you. Joslyn is going to be our flower girl and John is going to be our ring bear." I said with a smile.

"Ok can they walk yet?" Cat asked. "Well not yet but they are trying. By January they will be running all over the place." I said playing with Joslyn's feet.

"Ok so I will contact everyone and have them send me their suit and dress sizes. I will get the babies measurements when the time comes." Cat said packing up her things.

"Oh Cat one more thing. Do you know any good baby sitters in town?" I asked. "Actually I do." she said pulling out a business card. "Here name is Kelly she used to baby sit my son when he was a baby." Cat said with a smile.

I took the business card. "Thanks Cat this is going to help me a lot." I said walking my friend to the door. "I will see you later." Cat said before she walked into the elevator. I smiled and closed the door.

Joslyn looked up at me. "Bye bye mama." she said pointing at the door. "I'm not leaving silly." I said bouncing the lil girl on my hip.

Later that day Zach came home from rehearsal. "Hey Zach." I said with a smile. "Hey." he said giving me a quick kiss. "So how was rehearsal?" I asked him from the kitchen. "It was good. We have an amazing cast." he said with a smile.

He came in the kitchen and wrapped his arms around my waist. "So how did the wedding planning go?" he asked kissing me on the neck. "It went good. Everything is in place." I said turning around to wrap my arms around his neck.

We started to kiss but then we heard the twins start to fuss. Zach looked down at me and smiled. "I got it." he said letting me go. "Ok." I said turning back to finish dinner. I smiled and sighed.

Life is good.
