37. The Babies are Coming!

I was asleep with my head laying on Zach's chest. It was 10:39pm when I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I opened my eyes and dug my nails in Zach's skin. "Ahhhh!" I yelled in pain. Zach shot up lifting me up with him.

"What's wrong are you ok?" He asked. "I have a sharp pain in my...Ahhhh!" I yelled holding my stomach. "Is it contractions?" He asked. I started to count the minutes. "Get dressed Zach. I think it is time." I said getting up off the bed.

Zach got up and slipped on some jeans and a shirt. I went over to my closet and grabbed a long dress. I slipped it over my head and yanked it down when another contraction hit me. "Ahhhhhh! They are 10 minutes apart Zach." I yelled to him. "Ok I am almost ready!" He said running back and forth grabbing everything.

I stood near the door and watched Zach frantically grab carseats and baby bags. "Zach don't forget the blankets." I said in pain. I felt a rush of water flow out of me. My legs and dress were soaked. "Zach my water just broke!" I yelled.

He ran over to me. "Are you ok?" He asked scared. "I would be better if you would hurry the freak up and put the freaking stuff in the freaking car!!!!" I yelled in pain. Zach ran back and forth to the car. He put the last carseat in the car and came back. "Ok I am ready." He said closing the door with me still inside.

Is he freaking kidding me!

I stood there for a minute then Zach opened the door. "Can't leave without you." He said helping me out the door.

He walked me to the car and helped me in. I started to do my breathing technic. "How you doing Layla?" Zach asked keeping his eyes on the road. "I would do better if you would speed up!" I said gripping the seat. "When we get there please call our friends and family." I said turning to Zach."Ok dear." Zach said calmly.

15 minutes later

We rushed into the hospital. Zach grabbed a wheelchair for me and pushed me to the front desk. "Hi my wife is in labor!" Zach said panicked. Nurses came to my side. "What is your name." One of the nurses asked. "My name is Layla Kelly. My doctor is Dr.Rains." I said in pain. "Ok Ms.Kelly let's see how far along you are." One of the nurse said pushing me into a room.

I was changed into a hospital gown and placed in a bed in a upward position. A few minutes later Dr.Rains ran in. "Layla sorry I am late. I did not expect the babies coming in the middle of the night." He said sarcastically as he sat on the stool in between my legs.

"Layla you are 6 centimeters." Dr.Rains said. "Ok so 4 more and I can push right!?" I asked holding Zach's hand. "Yep. Zach I suggest you go call your family and friends. I will watch Layla for you." Dr.Rains said with a smile. I looked up at Zach. "Don't worry I won't have these babies without you." I said smiling through the pain.

Zach's POV

I ran out of the room and pulled out my phone. I called Minerva and Monica first. I listen to the phone ring.

"Why the hell are you calling me at 11:23 at night!" Monica asked. "Monica, Layla just went into labor." I said. "What! Minerva and I will be there in 2 minutes." Monica said hanging up the phone.

Next I called my mom and brother. Then I called Layla's family.

This is really happening. I am gonna be a dad.

Layla's POV

I have never felt such pain in my life! I am really starting to hate Zach. I turned when I saw Zach walk back into the room. "Hey did you call everyone?" I asked. "Yep so don't worry everyone is on their way." Zach said taking my hand.

"Ok Layla you are at 9 centimeters. Are you ready?" Dr.Rains asked me putting on his mask and gloves. I looked up at Zach. "Ya I am ready." I said a little scared.

"Ok you are at 10 centimeter. Your gonna push on 3 ready. 1 2 3!"

I pushed with all my strength. It felt like my body was being ripped apart.

"Good girl. Ok I see the head give me another push for the shoulders." Dr.Rains asked.

I pushed as hard as I could and tightened my grip on Zach's hand.

"Come on Layla you can do it." Zach said in my ear. It felt like I was pushing forever when I heard a whimper and then a cry.

"Baby 1. She has some lungs on her." Dr.Rains said with a smile. He handed Zach scissors to cut the umbilical cord. "Oh my gosh she is beautiful." Zach said with tears in his eyes. The nurse took the baby from him to clean her up.

"Ok you two we still have one more." Dr.Rains said. Zach came back to my side and held my hand. "Ok Layla give me 2 good pushes and then your done." Dr.Rains said. "Layla I am so proud of you. Your doing great." Zach said kissing me on the top of my head.

"Ok on 3. 1 2 3!"

I pushed until I thought I was going to pass out. "Give me one last good one." Dr.Rains said. I shook my head and cried. "I am so tired." I said turning to Zach. He squeezed my hand. "Layla I know you are on pain. Just on more push ok." Zach said worried. I nodded my head.

I started to push and push and then I heard another cry. "Baby 2. A baby boy." Dr.Rains said handing Zach scissors. Zach held the baby in his arms. "Here's John." Zach said staring down at the crying baby. The nurse took John to also be cleaned.

Zach came to my side. I was almost asleep. "You did am amazing job." He said giving me a kiss. "We are parents now." I said with a smile. Tears started to fall down my face.

"Mr.Quinto Ms.Kelly." The nurse said. We turned and looked at the nurse holding a pink blanket and a blue blanket. The nurse came over to us and put John in my arms and Joslyn in Zach's arms.

I looked down at the squirming lil boy in my arms. "Hi John. I have been waiting a long time to see you." I said with a smile. I pulled the blanket back so I could see his face. He scrunched up his face and opened his eyes.

He has Zach's eyes. He has a little bit of black hair on his head. I looked over to Zach who was smiling and whispering to Joslyn. "Hey." I whispered to Zach so it would not upset the babies. He looked up at me. "How is she?" I asked him. "She is perfect she looks just like you." He said with a smile sitting right next to my bed.

He leaned in closer to me so I could see Joslyn. "She is beautiful." I said happily. "Just like you." Zach said with a smile. I smiled and looked down at the twins as they both yawned. I looked down at them and smiled.

"Layla." Zach said "Yes." I said still looking down at the babies.

"Will you marry me?" Zach asked. I looked at him in shock tears running down my face. "I can't imagine a day without you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He said. I smiled at him.

"Yes Zach. Yes I will marry you." I said with a smile. He gave me a kiss filled with love.

I think having Zachary Quinto's babies is the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Finally the babies are here. Don't worry this is not the end of the story. There are still many things that are going to happen to the soon to be Mr. and Mrs.Quinto. I will not be able to update for a week because I will be on vacation. So I decided to be a nice person and leave you guys with the chapter you have been waiting for instead of a cliffhanger.

Just think of it as a early Christmas present from me. While I am on vacation I will pre type the story so I can update as soon as possible.
