You Chose Mine

Chapter 1

"Girls text me, you're the only one I text back" I hummed along to the lyrics as I filled my basket with the essentials. I began to walk down the noodles aisle as I scanned for my favourite brand when my eyes set on a boy talking to his phone. I knew the boy, I knew him well. Well enough to know what he was doing. 

"What should I –" His voice stopped when I noticed I was in the frame of his camera. I froze as he turned his gaze to me with a smile on his face.

"Hi" he greeted.

I nodded in reply, not trusting my voice. "You don't think I'm weird for talking to a phone, right?" he asked.

I shook my head, "No, I do it too" I mentally slap myself 'Nice one, Shannon' I thought to myself.

"Shopping alone?" he asked as he came closer.

I nodded looking down at my basket, it wasn't filled with anything weird but it was most definitely filled. "I haven't been shopping for a while" I explained.

He nodded, "Oh, I'm Luke by the way" he smiled holding out his hand. I gladly took hold of it and shook it.

"I know, I'm Shannon" I smiled back.

"A fan?" he asked, I nodded.

"Don't remember if I've ever met a fan in supermarket before" I chuckled at him as I walked over to the 2 minute noodles and placed a couple cups into my basket. The shock hadn't reached me yet; I was actually talking to one of my favourite band members in Woolworths of all places. I looked down to his shirt checking out the graphics.

"Hey, cool shirt" I complimented. He looked down then back to me smiling.

"Thanks, a fan in America got it for me" a proud smirk stretched across his face.

"This might sound strange but do you mind if I take a photo of it?" I asked as I set down my basket. "I have my own clothing store and I've been looking for inspiration for a new t-shirt design. Your shirt looks like something I could work with." He happily agreed before I took the photo.

"What's your store called?"

"Runaway" I smiled. I was proud of my creation, it's done so well and I think I've finally finished everything I need to for the store to stay at its peak.

"Oh, cool! I might stop by sometime."

"Well, we're getting some new product in tomorrow if you want to come check it out" I offered.

"That sounds great" he said. We both stood there smiling at each other for a couple seconds when I realised what I was doing; I broke the gaze to pick up my basket.

"Do you have a website?" he asked. I nodded before he quickly wrote it into the notes on his phone. "Do you think I could get your number? Just to, you know, text you so you know I'm coming" I smiled before dictating my number to him.

 'Luke Hemmings just asked for my number' I gushed to myself.

"I'll let you finish up your groceries, see you later" he smiled as he moved past me and out of the aisle.

"See you later" I weakly whispered as I stood frozen for a couple seconds.

'See you later' my mind repeated as a smile grew on my face.

I groaned as I flopped onto my fluffy bed. I love shopping, I love all kinds of shopping but putting away groceries is one thing that I dislike. But that shopping trip would have to be my favourite.

'See you later' my mind repeated once more. I actually can't believe that. What was he doing in that Woolworths? I've never seen him there before and I go there at least once or twice a week, then again he has been busy lately with what musicians are supposed to do and what not. He's a lot more confident than everyone makes him out to be.

I opened up my laptop and decided to scroll through my tumblr dashboard when my phone buzzed from inside my bag. The thought of Luke ran through my mind at the speed of light. I remained as calm as possible as I read the message on my screen.

"I think I just fell in love with your clothes. I'm buying the new line :) see you tomorrow"

Chills ran through my body reading those words. He's coming tomorrow. What am I going show him? What am I going to wear?

I realise Luke doesn't make many keeks and I know Calum was the one to make one in Woolies.

For anyone out there that doesn't know what 'Woolies' or 'Woolworths' is, it's a big supermarket franchise xx :)
