Twenty minutes after giving birth I was now in a wheel chair, Tom was pushing me towards the children's ward where our tiny baby was. The doctors had told us he was doing extremely well, he was small and didn't weigh very much but he was okay!
Tom wheeled me into a small room with a nurse inside, she was stood next to a little cot with a tiny baby in it. The nurse smiled softly at us and she lifted the baby out the cot...
"Mom or Dad first?" She asked softly.
"Dad," I told her.
Tom sat down in the chair. "We like the babies to do skin to skin with their parents," She told us. "Can you remove your shirt please?"
Tom pulled his shirt off and handed it to me; I watched as the nurse lay the baby on Tom's chest, he was so tiny in Tom's arms!
"He's beautiful," I stated softly. "Our little Tommy."
"I love him!" Tom stated as tears filled his eyes, he pressed him lips gently to the top of the babys head. "I love you Tommy, my little boy!"
I smiled at them both. "I love you Thomas!" I told him.
Tom chuckled. "which one are you talking to?" He teased.
"Both!" I told him.
The nurse laughed lightly. "Mrs Hiddleston would you like to try feeding?" She asked.
I nodded. "Yes of course!" I told her.
The nurse handed me Tommy, I moved my robe out of the way and let him latch onto me; I sighed in relief when he started feeding.
"That's wonderful!" The nurse told me. "I'll leave you to relax."
We watched as the nurse left us alone. I smiled lovingly at my tiny baby, his little hand found its way to the ends of my hair.
Tom crouched down in front of me; He placed his hand on the back of Tommy's head. "He's perfect," He stated. "I can't wait to see him grow, play with his big brother and sister!"
I laughed lightly as I sat Tommy up, I placed him on my shoulder and gently burped him. "I can't wait to take him home!" I told him.
TIME SKIP
Six hours later I had gotten some sleep, ate a load of food and I was happy that Tommy was in good health; Nurses had brought him into my room and did regular checks on him.
For the last hour I had been waiting for Tom to bring the twins to see Tommy; We wanted the twins to see Tommy before anyone else!
"Mommy?" I heard two little whispers.
I smiled and looked to the door way. "Hey babies!" I whispered back.
They both came rushing over to my bed side with Tom following behind them. "Where is he?" Holly asked.
I looked to the end of the bed. "You ran right past him," I told her.
As Tom picked up the little blue bundle the twins climbed onto the bed and sat next to me. They were both staring at their baby brother.
"Can I hold him?" Holly asked sweetly.
I nodded and sat Holly on my lap, Tom lay the baby in Holly's arms and I helped support his head. I heard Holly 'aw' at the little brother.
"Do you like him?" I asked softly.
She nodded. "I love him Mommy!" She told me.
Tom put his arm around Harlee's shoulder. "Do you want to give Tommy what you brought?" Tom asked as he pulled out a little toy elephant.
Harlee placed the little teddy in Tommy's cot at the end of the bed. "When can he come home?" He asked.
"Maybe later today," Tom told him.
Harlee nodded and looked at his little brother. "What do you think of him?" I asked Harlee.
My son shrugged. "He's okay," He told me. "I want him to get bigger though so he can play with us!"
I smiled softly at him. "Soon sweetie," I told him.
The five of us sat on the bed taking it in turns to hold the new baby Hiddleston. Tom took a picture of all our hands on a small blue hat then the tweet wrote 'Tommy William Hiddleston has arrived'.
These next few months are going to consist of sleepless nights but they will be worth it!
