We can make it work

Beach Day!

TOM'S POV

It had been two days since we arrived in California and today we were going to the beach. Jess and Harlee were out buying some swim floats for Tommy; The twins were brilliant swimmers but we already had little life jackets for them so they were kept above the water while in the sea.

Tommy was on mine and Jess' bed lying on his belly while Holly and I were sitting on the floor playing peek a boo with him.

"BOO!" We said as we lifted our heads.

Tommy's little giggle was adorable, he reminded me so much of Jess. His smile was so much like her's, it's enough to make me smile.

"Daddy when will Tommy walk and play with us?" Holly asked.

I climbed on the bed and sat next to my son. "Not for a while," I told her. "Maybe when he's a year old he'll start crawling."

Holly nodded and kissed her baby brother's head. "I hope his hair stays blonde like mine!" She told me.

Ah yes, a few days ago we were looking at photos of when Holly and Harlee were baby's and they noticed Harlee used to be blonde and as he's got older his hair went brown, Jess explained that his Father had brown hair and Harlee looks just like him.

"I think he'll stay a blondie!" I told her and tickled her belly.

"We're back!" Harlee announced as he raced into the room and tackled his sister into a hug.

I can't help but laugh at those two, they're nothing without each other and it's heart warming to see them so close!

"We got baby floats!" Jess told me as she walked in holding up a little box.

I smiled up at my wife. "Perfect," I told her then looked at the twins. "Shall we go to the beach?"

"YEAH!" They shouted and ran off to their room.

Jess laughed as she sat on the bed next to me and looked at our baby. "Hello Junior!" She greeted Tommy then kissed his head making him smile. "Are you being good for Daddy?"

I chuckled and kissed her forehead. "He takes after me," I joked.

Jess laughed lightly and nudged me playfully. "Whatever Hiddles!" She told me as she grabbed her bikini and started getting changed.

I changed into my swim shorts then changed Tommy into a swim nappy and covered him in sun cream so he wouldn't burn then I put a pair of shorts and a t-shirt on him. I tied Jess' bikini for her and helped her rub her cream in.

"Mommy look I got my bikini on too!" Holly said as she ran into our room with her pink sun glasses on.

"Aw you look so grown up!" Jess told her and kissed her head. "My mini me!"

"I'm cooler though!" Harlee stated as he walked in with his sunglasses on and his baseball cap.

Jess and I shared a laugh as the twins posed and strutted around the hotel apartment like wannabe models.

"Oh yeah they're definitely your kids!" I told Jess.

Jess rolled her eyes. "I'm pretty sure your a drama queen too!" She told me as she put her shorts and t-shirt on.

After ten minutes of running around the room the five of us were in our rental car and driving down to the beach. The twins were going crazy in the back of the car and had taught Tommy how to scream... Jess and I are not impressed!

I parked the car at the beach and helped everyone out the car. I carried Tommy down the the beach, Jess set up four sun beds and put up some umbrella's so Tommy had some shade to sit in.

"Mommy can we go in the sea?" Harlee asked.

"I'll race you there!" I told the twins and ran off down the beach and into the sea.

The twins ran towards the water and jumped in making small splashes in the waves. They both swam over to me and I lifted them up into my arms making them giggle. I let go of the twins letting them swim around, I looked towards the shore and saw Jess walking towards us with Tommy on her hip and the baby float in her other hand. Jess walked waist deep into the water then placed Tommy into his little baby float the paddled over to me and the twins.

"Mommy look what we can do!" Harlee shouted.

The twins did gambols in the water then came up to the surface giggling. "Well check you two out!" I told them.

"The press are here," Holly stated looking at some of the camera crews that were sat on the beach.

Jess shook her head. "Come on lets ignore them!" She told the twins.

We all swam around in the sea for a little while then we decided to jump the waves. I sat on the beach with Tommy on my chest and watched as Harlee and Jess jumped the waves, both of them we laughing and getting splashed in the face by the water. Holly was crouched down beside me building sand castles; The press hadn't really bothered us, they were keeping their distance which we were very happy about.

I just couldn't wait for the premier tomorrow night; The twins loved the Muppets and couldn't wait to watch the movie, we were also taking Tommy which our fan base almost exploded over because most of our fans have only seen photos of him or from a distance.

I went back to our sun beds and pulled out my phone; I took a selfie of me, Tommy and Holly then a picture of the back of Jess and Harlee. I uploaded the picture to my twitter page; 'A relaxing beach day before the premier tomorrow!'

Just sitting on the beach with my little family made me feel like the luckiest man alive!
