Boyfriend Stealer

Chapter 6

Codie literally runs off the bus, the next morning, looking for Mekaila, right away, so she can see if she gets to go with her tomorrow. Madison sighs and wonders what Codie's hurry is, but she wanders off, looking for Tiffany and Stacy. Finally, Codie finds Mekaila in the front office and looks at her questioningly.

"Sorry, Codie, my aunt said no." Mekaila tells with a sad look on her face.

Disappointed, Codie hangs her head and says, "Oh."

"Ha, got you! She said yes!" Mekaila exclaims, as Codie starts jumping up and down.

"Yes! Yes!" Codie is so excited, too.

"I knew you would be happy." Mekaila smiles at her friend.

"Promise me you won't ever scare me like that again, though." Codie gives her a look.

"Maybe I won't.... or maybe I will." She says with a sly grin.

"Please!"

"Fine, I won't!"

"Thanks!"

"So are you going to go off to look for Parker again?" Mekaila says teasingly and Codie glares at her.

"No, the only reason I was looking for him yesterday was to take him up on his offer of going for a run."

"Oh, and what did he say?"

"He said yes."

"Cool, can I please join you guys? You know I love running, too."

"Yes, as long as it's okay with Parker. I'll ask him at lunch."

"Okay, sounds good, girl. Did you ask your parents if you could come with us tomorrow?"

"Yes, they are fine with it. What time are you going to pick me up?"

"Cool, my aunt and I will be there at about ten."

"Okay, sounds good, I can't wait."

"Me either."

Then, the girls leave the office, going to look for Madison and the others. They run into Seth, along the way, who walks with them. Codie notices that Seth is starring at Mekaila, especially at her clothes, makeup, and hair. She tries to hold back a laugh, but it bursts out and Mekaila and Seth stop and stare at her, as do some other students walking by.

"What is it, Codie? Why are you laughing?" Mekaila asks.

"Oh, it's nothing." Codie says, as she laughs a little more.

"Okay, whatever. Mekaila says, Let's just go find the girls."

They eventually find them in the salon, getting their nails done before class. Austin and Shane are with them, too, watching them and occasionally winking or flexing their muscles at them, making them giggle. Madison waves them over and asks Codie if she wants her nails done. At first she's hesitant, but Codie eventually gives in and gets her nails done a bright red. Mekaila gets her done, too, and chooses a turquoise blue, which looks amazing on her.

After their nails are done, they leave with the guys following them. Austin begs Tiffany to ditch with him and she agrees and Shane and Stacy do, too. They question the other three, but Mekaila and Codie refuse to ditch. However, Seth has never ditched before and wants to. The two girls don't want him to, but it's not their decision, and Seth follows Tiffany, Austin, Stacy, and Shane.

Mekaila and Codie sigh, but there's nothing they can do and they head off in the opposite direction. They almost run straight into this girl they've never seen before and she gets very mad at them. Immediately, two other girls come running up and stand on either side of her, as soon as they hear her screech.
