Half an hour later, they arrive back at Parker's house and Codie says bye to her parents and follows him.
"Bye, sweetie! Have fun!"
"But be careful! We love you!"
"Bye! I will! Love you too!"
Codie hops into Parker's Mustang and they pull out of the driveway. Parker turns on some country music and Codie sings along.
"You have a really pretty voice." He tells her.
She blushes as she says, "Oh, thank-you."
"So how are the dogs doing?"
"Very good, they're comforting me when I'm upset about Chris."
"Yeah, dogs are amazing."
"Yeah."

They arrive at the movie theater about twenty minutes later. They both hop out and enter the theater. They check out what movies are going to be playing that night.
"Oh, how about Power Rangers?" Parker suggests.
"Nah, how about A Dog's Purpose?" Codie says.
"Oh, alright." Parker agrees.
"Yay!" Codie exclaims, as they go to buy the tickets.
Codie insists that she pay for hers, but Parker persists and pays for both.
"Fine, then I'm paying for the snacks." Codie says, as she marches to the snack bar.
"Oh, no you're not!" Parker says, as he comes up from behind and picks her up, making her giggle.
"I'm really ticklish." Codie says, while laughing and Parker tickles her even more, making her laugh harder.
"Please stop!" Codie insists, but she's still laughing and having a great time.
"Alright, I will." Parker says, as he puts her down and they head over to the snack bar.
"I'm paying for the popcorn." Codie says.
"Fine, but I'm paying for the drinks, candy, and pretzels." He says, as they both get out their wallets.
"Fine, whatever." Codie smiles at him.
After they get their snacks, they head into the movie room. A few minutes later, the movie starts and they settle down. They both munch on popcorn and drink their Icees. Parker wraps his arm around Code and she scoots as close to him as her chair allows.
After the movie, Parker takes her for ice cream and she enjoys it. She laughs and smiles at him, thanking him for one of the best nights ever. He hugs her tight and keeps his arm around her shoulders the whole ride home.
They arrive back at Codie's house, about an hour later. Parker and Codie exchange one more big and tight hug.
"Thanks so much." Codie tells him, again.
"No problem." Parker says and gives her a wide grin, which she blushes at.
"Anyway, goodnight. See you at school." Codie says, as she starts to leave.
"Wait, we should totally do this again sometime." He says, quickly.
"Yeah, totally. I would love that." She stops but then gets out of the car, with a big smile.
"Cool, see ya." Parker gives her a wave.
Codie goes in and up to her bedroom, very happy, and falls asleep right away.
