The lot of us (Nic, Pia, Ben, Noel, and me) went to both Steve's and Liam's arraignment hearings. Ms. Cester refused to come as she didn't want to leave Matt's bedside. Nic had taken on a bit of a role as the leader of his brothers. It made sense though seeing as he was the oldest and had had the role since he was about sixteen when his parents divorced.  He didn't like the idea of their mother being by herself and suggested one of them stay with her at the hospital. Chris volunteered and he and his girlfriend kept her company while Matt slept peacefully. He was doing a little better but they were still monitoring him for a brain bleed.

Steve was up first, pleading not guilty for the charge of assault with a deadly weapon and received a set amount for his bail. The shit eating grin on his face told me he wasn't too worried about finding a way to post it.

They led him out through the side door and the next case came in. The case number was read and then the name.

"The people versus William Gallagher. One count of conspiracy to commit assault with a deadly weapon."

"Mr. Gallagher," the judge said to Liam, "how do you plead?"

            "Not guilty." Liam replied.

"Of course. Do the people request remand?"

"We do Your Honor." The prosecutor replied. "Mr. Gallagher is a flight risk who'll use his celebrity to-"

"My client is not a flight risk, Your Honor!" Raoul piped up. "He has a home right here in the City-"

"Which is unavailable due to being the scene of the crime." The prosecutor cut him off.

"Your Honor, I can assure you my client will not step foot outside of Manhattan. He's already agreed to staying in a hotel not far from the police precinct and understands the consequences if he breaches this agreement. I should remind you, he was given a similar set of rules in London several months ago when he was falsely accused of possessing cocaine. He followed the judge's orders not to cross the Camden line-"

"Is that true, Mr. Gallagher?" The judge asked Liam.

"It is, yeah." He replied with a nod. "I promise I'll be-"

            "Bail is set at..."

The judge said the number and brought his gavel down.

"Let's go." Noel said as they led Liam towards the same side the officers took Steve through.

We all got up and made our way towards the exit. I looked back at Liam who stood listening to something Raoul was telling him. He looked up for a second and our eyes met.

"Blue!" He screamed. He tried to run through the crowd towards me but the officers held him back.

            I stood frozen watching him.

"Mr. Felder! Control your client!" The judge barked.

"Sorry, Your Honor!" Raoul replied. He put his hand on Liam's shoulder. "Calm down, Liam."

"No!" He cried as they pulled him towards the side door. "No! Jules!"

"C'mon, Jules!" Noel ordered as he turned me around to face the way out. "Ya know you're not allowed talkin' to him."
