It felt a little weird traveling through England on a tour bus. It's not like I hadn't done it before but this time it felt different.

I was with Jet. Holy shit...I was with Jet.

Noel's tour was pretty tame and Jet's tour...well it was tame too. The boys saved their energy for the stage and were so up their women's asses, it was actually kind of sweet.

We were on our way to the Barfly. That was one of the band's first gigs way back when and I was excited to be a part of it. The bus was quiet. Chris was Skyping with Coco and Helen. Mark and his wife were discussing whatever they saw out the window. Cam and Sarah were busy canoodling. And Nic busied himself writing what I assumed was song lyrics while Pia was on her laptop.

Liam and I sat together with Matt and Ben in front of us. Liam looked like he might fall asleep as he stared off at the back of the bus seat in front of him. He jumped awake though when Ben appeared from behind it shoving his phone in my face.

"I'm here with the lovely Juliet Anderson, editor-in-chief of a little rag called the NME." Ben began.

I rolled my eyes.

"So tell us, Jules. What song are ya hopin' Jet will open with tonight?"

"Like I really have to answer that." I replied.

"Actually ya do." He informed me. "You're on camera."

I giggled.

"So go on. Tell the kids at home."

I took a breath. "Track number nine."

"Nine?" He repeated.

"Yeah." I nodded.

"So let me ask ya a question, Jules. Hypothetical scenario."

"Okay." I replied trying not to look too directly into the camera.

"Let's say you were goin' to a gig." He said. "Like, you bought your ticket and stuff but the singer of the band you're gonna see pulls out at the last minute 'cuz he's got a sore throat. Ow!" He bent down a little.

"Shut the fuck up, man!" Matt hissed.

I glanced over at Liam. He was still silent but his mouth hung open a bit.

"Wanker!" Ben snapped back at Matt as he turned around and sat down beside him.

We pulled into the venue but there was still a few hours yet before the gig. The boys from Jet cracked open some beers and passed them around.

"I could really go for a kebab." Ben piped up as we all sat around on the couches backstage.

"Me too." Matt said.

"Me three." I told them.

"Let's go then!" Ben stood up.

Matt and I followed him towards the door.

"Hang on!" Liam said as he got up from the couch. "I'll go with you."

"No! You don't have to." I waved at him. "Just stay here and enjoy your drink."

He acquiesced and it surprised me a little. He seemed a bit out of it. When the group had a conversation, he just sat back and listened. It was almost like he didn't know what to say.
