A/N: I love this chapter tbh

"Baby, do you want something to eat?" Austin asks through the phone, while I lay in bed "I can bring you something"
"No, I'm okay" I mumble, biting on my fingernails. I hadn't been feeling very well for the last few days, a cold deciding to show up out of no where. I was supposed to go see Richard today, but I've avoided his phone calls so I didn't have to go, but I know as soon as my mom gets she'll take me over there.
"I'm on my way to your house, so I'll be there in a minute alright?" He says.
"Okay" I nod "I'll see you soon"
"See you soon Baby" He says and hangs up the phone.
Twice. He called me Baby twice. I hadn't stopped him lately, mostly because I didn't want to, but I know part of me wasn't really bothered. I've gotten closer to Austin, a lot closer. I still don't consider us dating, and I'm not sure if he understands that, but it's how I feel. I'm not completely okay with him touching me, but a slight touch on the hip as a hello or goodbye touch, a replacement of a hug, is something I can deal with.
I've also become closer with Dean. I'm not as close with him as Austin, but since we hung out the day of Austin's late practice three weeks ago, we've had a few other hang outs.
"Hey Griffey" Austin walks into my room, carrying a bag "I brought you food anyways because I know you're actually hungry but won't tell me" He pulls out a small cup from the bag "So, here's soup" He hands me the cup, then a spoon "And some ginger ale" He sits the bottle of ginger ale on my bedside table before sitting next to me on my bed.
"Thank you" I bite my lip and he grins.
"It's no problem" He says "How was your day?" He asks.
"Alright I guess" I shrug "Boring" I add in a mumble "How was yours?"
"The same" He nods "I didn't have anyone to torment during the day" He teases and I roll my eyes, eating my soup "But I'm here now" He sing songs.
"No, go home" I playfully glare at him and he laughs, taking my soup from me and eating a spoonful "Stop! You're going to get sick"
"But then you'll have to take care of me" He wiggles his eyebrows "Nurse Griff" He says "It has a ring to it"
"Is that like one of your kinks?" I snort.
"It is now" He winks, and I roll my eyes, shaking my head.
"You're gross" I say and he laughs, turning on my TV and scrolling through the channels. I finish my soup and throw away he empty cup before returning to my spot on my bed, pulling the covers over my lap. Austin scoots closer to me, and I look over at him, and he smirks "Stop, you're being weird"
"Sorry" He raises his hands in defense.
"Have you gotten the date for States yet?" I ask and he nods.
"It's a week from tomorrow" He says "Then regionals are two weeks after that"
"Cool, cool" I nod. My door swings open, a very angry looking mom standing on the other side.
"Why have you been ignoring Richard?" She asks with a raised eyebrows, her arms crossed over her chest.
"Because I'm sick" I cough, somewhat dramatically.
"Stop playing games and get ready to go see Richard" She demands.
"But mom-"
"No Griffin! Get ready now"
