"I didn't know that I was starving till I tasted you. Don't need no butterflies when you give me the whole damn zoo. By the way, by the way, you do things to my body. I didn't know that I was starving till I tasted you" Griffin sings obnoxiously loud and I laugh uncontrollably as she dances around the kitchen "By the way, by the way, you do things to my body. I didn't know that I was starving till I tasted you" She giggles out "Come dance with me" She holds out her hands.

Everyone had gone out today and rather than hanging out with them, I wanted more alone time with Griffin, and this is how she chose to spend it. Not that I'm complaining though.

I allow her to grab my hands and she moves the two of us around in all different directions, the two of us probably looking like maniacs. The song ends and Griffin laughs, wrapping an arm around my shoulders, her chin against my forehead "We're idiots"

"Hey, speak for yourself" I say and she giggles.

"It's takes an idiot to know an idiot" She winks at me and I laugh.

"You know, you're really happy today" I run my fingers through her hair, cupping her cheeks "I like it"

"I don't know. I didn't notice" She shrugs with a smile "I just guess I feel happier"

"I like when you're happy" I mumble and she grins, hiding her face in my chest, mumbling incoherently "What?"

"I said it's because you make me happy" She blushes.

"Aw Griffey" I coo, pinching her cheek. [a/n: I accidentally type punching instead of pinching and idk why but I just imagined like Seth Rogan punching Jonah Hill and I'm laughing so hard. Don't even ask why I thought about that😂😂😂😂]

"Stop" She covers her face.

"Can you believe that not even a year ago you basically hated me?"

"I never hated you" She shakes her head "I just thought you were annoying and persistent as hell" She laughs.

"I don't think you understand how proud I am of you" I say, my tone serious "I never thought I'd be able to do this" I motion to my hands that are on her hips "But here we are"

"I guess it just took the right person to come along and help me" She says, looking down at her feet. I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her closer to me, her arms wrapping around my neck "I don't want this trip to end"

"Me neither" I sigh "But it doesn't have to"

"What do you mean?" She asks, looking up at me.

"What I mean is that we can stay here longer or go somewhere else. We don't have to go home"

"Really? We can do like a road trip" She says in excitement "Imagine all the songs we can sing then" She laughs.

"So, you're up for it?"

"Of course" She nods "It sounds like fun"

"Great" I grin, looking at the stove to check the time "Want to get dinner?" I ask.

"Sure"

"Okay, I'll meet you back down here?"

"I'll race ya!" She runs up the steps and towards her room and I try to outrun her, quickly changing, and running back downstairs to see her waiting for me.

"How'd you beat me?"

"My hair is braided so it doesn't need to be done, and I don't wear makeup" She shrugs "I should've put a wager on winning" She tuts, walking towards the front door. I follow after her and she gets into the passenger seat of my truck after I unlock the doors. I get into the drivers side and turn on my truck, putting on my sunglasses before pulling out of the driveway.

"Where to?" I ask, and she shrugs.

"I want something really good"

"There's this Chinese restaurant that you'll probably like down the road"

"Ooh, Chinese sounds good" She hums, and I chuckle driving in that direction. As we drive I reach over and rest my hand on Griffins side, not sure if she's going to protest or not. I sigh in relief when she wraps her arm around my forearm, kissing random places on my arm.

"I like those sunglasses. Why haven't I seen them?" She asks.

"Hmm, I don't know" I shrug, taking them off "Here, put them on" I hand them to her. She looks down at them as if I had just handed her a paper written in a foreign language "Put them on" I chuckle and she places them on the bridge of her nose.

"Am I hot?"

"Meh, mediocre at best" I tease and she slaps my arm "I'm kidding, you look great" I grin.

"Here" She goes to hand them back but I stop her.

"Keep 'em"

"Austin I can't-"

"You can, and you will" I chuckle "If I want a new pair, I'll buy a new pair but those are yours now"

"You're too nice to me" She leans over and kisses my cheek "Thank you"

"No problem" I say, pulling into the parking lot. I park and Griffin and I get out, walking inside.

"Ooh, so it's one of these places where they cook in front of you" Griffin gasps "How exciting" She grins, and I walk up behind her, placing my hands on her hips. I kiss her temple, then down to her cheek and she swats me away "Stop you weirdo" She laughs.

"But I just want to kiss my little Baby Bean" I pout.

"You're so strange" She giggles, turning her head to the side and kissing my lips softly.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Mr. and Mrs. It's complicated" A familiar voice belonging to one of my friends tuts and I pull away from Griffin sighing heavily.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"We just wanted to get some food. We're leaving actually" Zach chuckles.

"So, what's we walk in on?" Rob asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Nothing, looks like we're getting a table, see you guys later" Griffin says quickly, pulling me by my wrist as we follow after the group of people being lead to a table "Well, that wasn't embarrassing" Griffin sighs as she sits down.

"They're never going to let us live it down"

"Oh, great" She rolls her eyes.

"You know what that mean..." I trail off, leaning closer to her "You're my girlfriend now" I whisper in her ear, and she turns to look at me, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh really? Was this all part of your master plan?"

"Oh it was" I nod, and we fall silent before bursting into laughter, the others at the table looking at us like we're crazy "But seriously, they'll probably consider you my girlfriend now"

"I figured" She shrugs "But we might as well dramatize it right?"

"I think I like where this is going" I smirk and she laughs.

"I'm not sure you get me"

"I think I do and that means I get to make out with you whenever I want. So, I like where this is going"

"Alrighty then, you like where this is going" She laughs.
