:griffin:
"Hey, Griffin!" A female voice yells from behind me and I cringe when I turn around to see Lacey running towards me.
"What?" I roll my eyes.
"I just wanted to apologize for Austin and I going to prom. I didn't know you were waiting" She shrugs, her tone so insincere "I just figured 'go feminism' so I decided to ask him rather than sitting back and waiting" She smirks "I hope you don't mind though, but he's told me how excited he is"
"Cool" I shrug "I hope you two have fun, but jokes on you, I'm going with a college guy" I smirk back, deciding to turn on my fake bitch side.
"No way" She shakes her head "It's not nice to lie"
"Good thing I'm not lying" I say "Now, if you'll excuse me" I turn back around, continuing my walk to my car. To no surprise, Austin's leaning against my car, his arms crossed as he stares at Lacey.
"What was that all about?" He asks.
"She just wanted to let me know that she's sorry for asking you to prom because feminism and that you've told her how excited you are" I shrug and he rolls his eyes.
"Fuck me" He sighs.
"Woah, at least take me to dinner first" I tease, and he chuckles, looking down at me.
"If that's all it takes" He jokes, and I roll my eyes. I smack my hand against my forehead as I come to a realization "What's wrong?"
"I've got to get a dress now"
"Why?"
"I told her I was taking a guy to prom" I frown and he raises an eyebrow "You have no room to talk Mister" I point a stern finger at me, and he tilts his head "At least the guy I'm going to go with doesn't have feelings for me" I narrow my eyes at him, and he tuts "Oh please, Lacey would jump your bones first chance" I cross my arms over my chest, and he shakes his head, crossing his arms over his chest "I'm not going with Dean, so no the guy I'm with won't have feelings for me" I stick my tongue out at him and he looks at me in confusion "Don't worry about it. You'll find out Saturday" I pat his chest, kissing his cheek "Now I've got to go"
"Bye Baby" He laughs, stepping away from my car "I'm also very glad you know me so well" He kisses me quickly before walking away. I shake my head with a smile and get into my car, driving home. Walking into my house, I pull out my phone and click on Matts contact, waiting for him to answer the phone.
"Hey Griffin" He says.
"I need your help" I bite my lip.
"With?"
"I need you to go to prom with me"
"Really?"
"Yes. I'll make it up to you, just please" I sigh.
"Dude, fuck yeah I'll go. I missed out on mine"
"Oh my god, thank you so much" I breathe out in relief.
"What color will you be wearing?" He asks in a posh accent and I laugh.
"I have no idea" I shake my head "Want to help me go dress shopping?"
"I'll pick you up in an hour" He says and I agree, before hanging up my phone. Walking into my room, I shower and change into a pair of joggers and a t-shirt, along with a pair of converse. I walk downstairs and get an apple, eating it while I wait for Matt.
He texts me when he gets there and I get into his car, putting on my seatbelt "Hi" He smiles.
"Hi" I smile, wrapping my arms around myself. He drives towards the dress shop I told him about, and he parks the both of us climbing out. I walk inside, discretely shying away from his hand as he tries to place it on the small of my back. He opens the door for me and I thank him, my eyes widening at all the dresses in front of me.
