"Hi Baby" Austin smiles as I answer his facetime call.

"Hi" I smile back.

"Hi Austin!" Tiana pushes her head into the frame, and I laugh.

"Tiana's here by the way"

"Oh damn, I was hoping we could have facetime sex" He teases and I laugh harder, Tiana cringing before laying back against my headboard "Anyways, so you know how I'm playing football right?" He changes the subject, clearing his throat.

"Hmm, I don't recall" I tap my chin and he rolls his eyes "I'm kidding, but yeah. Why?"

"Well, my homecoming game is this weekend and I want you to come up here and watch me" He explains "I miss you a lot, and I want to see you so you can like come up Friday, the game is Saturday and then you can stay until Sunday" He says quietly, and I bite my lip.

"This weekend will be tough, but I'll see what I can do" I nod, and Tiana looks at me in confusion.

"Okay, I hope you can because like I said, I miss you"

"I miss you too"

"What?" I turns around, talking to someone behind him "Yeah, I'll be right out" He nods before turning back to me.

"Gotta go?" I ask.

"Yeah" He sighs "Football practice" He rubs his eye "But, I'll text you and stuff"

"Okay" I nod.

"I'll call you later Baby Girl, I love you"

"Okay, I love you" I smile.

"Bye Tiana!" He yells and Tiana laughs.

"Bye Austin"

"Bye Austin" I repeat Tiana's words and he smiles.

"Bye Griffey" He says before hanging up. After I plug my phone back in, Tiana squeals, jumping up and down on my bed.

"You guys are so cute!"

"Oh my god, stop" I roll my eyes and she giggles.

"Why is this weekend not good for you?" She asks "You can't miss this game, I need someone to talk to" She pouts.

"Because my birthday is Saturday" I shrug "And I honestly doubt my mom will let me leave on my birthday"

"What? It's your birthday! Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I don't normally tell people about my birthday" I shrug "Austin doesn't even know it's my birthday"

"Then how is he supposed to buy you a present?" She scoffs.

"He's not"

"Oh my god, why don't you want him knowing?" She asks.

"It's not that I don't, it's just that I don't" I shrug, chuckling after I realize it didn't really make sense "I just don't want him to waste his time trying to make it a big deal"

"That's what boyfriend's are supposed to do"

"I don't know" I shrug again, and she rolls her eyes.

"You know it's true" She looks at me knowingly "Now go ask your mom to go this weekend"

"Fine" I huff, walking out of my room and to my mom's. I knock lightly on her door, hearing her tell me to come in "Mom?"

"Yes?"

"So, uh, this weekend is Austin's homecoming game and he told me he really wants me to go, so can I?"
