a/n: I love this chapter

"Today, I'm all yours" Austin says as soon as I open my front door "So, what are we doing?" He asks, and I shrug.
"I don't know"
"Me neither, I guess we'll have to figure it out on the way" He chuckles "Now go change, I'll meet you in the car" He kisses my nose before walking to his car and I jog up the steps. I open the door to my room and run to my closet, practically ripping open every drawer I have before I find something nice to wear.
I settle on a white lacey crop top, a pair of high waisted shorts, my combat boots and a burgundy cardigan over top. I quickly add lipstick and winged eyeliner deciding that since this is Austin last day here for a few months, I might as well have him remember me attractive rather than ugly.
I walk down the steps and to his car, getting into the passenger seat, he gives me a bright smile while I put on my seat belt and I look at him in confusion.
"What?" I ask.
"Nothing, you just look very pretty"
"Oh, good" I sigh out "That's what I was going for" I giggle and he laughs, backing out of my driveway. We drive around aimlessly for what feels like forever, neither of us knowing what to do but soon Austin pulls into the parking lot of a park.
"What are we doing?" I ask.
"We're going to take a walk because I have no clue what to do but I don't want to sit in the car any longer"
"So you decide on a park? What about the mall? There aren't very many bugs in the mall"
"You need some sun, you're looking pale" He teases, pinching my cheek.
"I hate you" I swat at his hand, climbing out of his car. He get out too and walks beside me, grabbing my hand in his and lacing our fingers together. We walk along the trail of the park hand in hand, for the most part silent.
"Ooh, a squirrel"
"Let's catch it" Austin runs over to the squirrel but obviously he's too slow and the squirrel runs up a tree, Austin stopping with a pout on his lips.
"You tried and that's all that matters" I rub his back, giggling quietly.
"I'm so upset" He fakes cries, and I laugh harder, linking my arm through his.
"I know" I coo, and we walk together, the trail ending at a small lake. We sit down on the pier, and I cross my legs, looking at the water.
Austin fumbles with his pocket, trying to get something out but having a tough time due to his sitting position and I giggle "What are you doing?"
"Shh, you're not supposed to notice this yet" He says, finally getting whatever it is out of his pocket "Okay" He sighs out "So, I'm uh, not really good with this type of stuff when it comes to you because I don't know what's too much and what isn't but um," He clears his throat "I want you to have my championship ring" He opens his hand, showing me his high school football ring dangling on a chain "I put it on a chain so you can wear it as a necklace because you have tiny fingers" He chuckles, and I swallow the lump in my throat.
"I do have small fingers" I chuckle, tears filling my eyes
"Oh, Baby don't cry" He frowns, wiping under my eyes with his thumb "You're not supposed to cry, you're supposed to tell me I'm being gross"
"You are being gross!" I huff "But I am too" I sniff "I'm just going to miss you so much" A tear rolls down my cheek and Austin pulls me onto his lap, wiping my tears and kissing my cheek.
