"Want to watch a movie?" I ask Griffin as we come back from hanging out. She shrugs and sits down on the bed, I grab my iPad and open Netflix, scrolling through the options before sitting it on my bed and plugging in my chromecast "You can pick something" She nods and scrolls through my iPad and I sit down beside her "What's wrong?" I ask.

She just shakes her head, continuing to scroll through movies, and I take my iPad from her and turn her to look at me "Griff, what's wrong?"

"Nothing, I'm fine" She shrugs, and I sigh. I lean my chin on her shoulder and look up at her with a pout. She smiles small, and closes her eyes "I'm alright"

"Why won't you talk to me?" I ask "I know there's something wrong"

"I just- I don't know" She sighs "It's nothing and I'm fine"

"Griffin, please" I frown, cupping her cheeks.

"You just, you dismissed me so quickly earlier and I don't know why. Did I do something wrong? I was only joking" She says, looking away from me, and I think back to earlier, and what she was talking about.

"Oh, come on" Brad chuckles "Your girl can come with" He shrugs, and I bite my lip at him calling Griffin my girl. I told him she was this morning, but she really isn't.

"I told you, I can't" I take Griffins hand in mine, pulling her away from Brad and towards the exit if my residence hall.

"So, your girl, huh? When did that happen?" She asks with a smirk, and a raised eyebrow.

"I only told him that because he called you a hoe" I shrug, and she nods, her face going blank.

"Got it"

"Griffin, I'm so sorry" I sigh, nudging my nose against hers "I was pissed about him, I didn't mean it like that. I really didn't. You mean a lot to me, and I just haven't brought anything like that up because of what you're going through right now, and I didn't want to overwhelm you. I'm so sorry"

"It's alright" She shrugs "I get it"

"Just, just don't think I don't want to be with you again. Okay? Because I still love you more than life"

"Okay" She nods, and I wrap my arms around her. She lays down in my bed, scooting against the wall, and looks up at me, silently pleading for me to lay beside her. I smile slightly, and lay down, wrapping my arms around her waist "Do you want to still watch a movie?" I ask and she shrugs.

"Can we just... talk?" She asks, and I nod, turning off my TV.

"What about?" I ask.

"Why'd you leave me?" She asks quietly, and I frown.

"Because I didn't want to hold you back Griffin. I knew it was hurting you not talking to me, and I felt the same way and my thought was that if you felt even half of what I did, then you'd be better off without me"

"But you told me we'd make it work. You promised"

"I know, I know" I sigh "I'm so sorry but I don't want to lose you again" I shake my head.

"But, you're going to be coming back here any-"

"No I'm not" I shake my head, and Griffin looks at me in confusion.

"What do you mean?"

"I want you back Griffin, and if you let me have you then I'm not risking it again. So to make sure I can keep that promise, I'm not coming back here, I already sent in an application to transfer to university of Miami and they allowed me to keep my scholarship. I'm not leaving you again Griffin" I tell her, and her lips part slightly.
