:griffin:

"-I don't really think you understand exactly what I'm saying. I care about you and I don't want you to dig yourself into a hole that you-"

"Austin" I cut him off "I'm fine" I tell him for the millionth time "I told you I won't go to anymore parties" I roll my eyes.

"Griffin-"

"Oh shit, is that the bell? Looks like I have to go" I run off in the opposite direction we're walking, needing to be away from Austin's lectures. I roll my eyes as his words play through my head, how he's disappointed in me and he wants me to be more responsible around others.

He sounds like my fucking mother.

"Griffin" Austin calls after me, and I pick up my pace, but because he's a running back he runs faster than a cheetah and catches up to me.

"Austin, I don't want to talk about it" I pout "Can we talk about something else?"

"I wasn't going to talk about that" He shakes his head "I just wanted to hang out with you" He gives me a cute smile and I roll my eyes "Baby" He whines.

"Stop calling me that"

"Baby. Baby. Baby. Baby. Baby" He repeats, wrapping his arms around me from behind and burying his face into my neck. I place my hand on his cheek, and he hums, kissing my cheek.

"Don't do that"

"Why?" He whines.

"Because" I shrug, and he moves us around, pressing me against the wall, a hand in each side of my body to keep me in place.

"There's no one around here" He shrugs, looking left, considering to our right is a wall "It's like 6:45"

"And who's fault is that? I'd much rather be at home. But no, I'm here because you wanted to see me after you got yourself morning detention" I poke his chest hard and he chuckles. He leans closer, quickly looking to his left "Austin" I mumble, but he only chuckles, kissing my nose.

"I hate you, you know that?" He sighs heavily, turning around and running a hand through his hair in frustration.

"No, you don't" I shake my head. I take a step forward and slide my hand up the back of his shirt, my finger lightly skimming his back.

"Griffin" He sighs.

"You don't hate me" I mumble, and in a split second I'm back against the wall and Austin's lips are on mine. The fact that I'm partially stunned doesn't surprise me. I know he likes me, and I know he's wanted to kiss me, but I didn't think he'd kiss me at a time like this. His hands cup my face and my rest at my sides, his lips moving quickly against mine.

He pulls away with a groan and before I can say anything he runs off, not looking back. I huff quietly and walk back to my car, getting inside and driving back home. I park in my driveway and walk into my house, and to my room laying back down in bed. I check the clock seeing I have twenty minutes before I have to go back to school.

I shrug and close my eyes, going back to sleep and not caring if I miss school. When I wake back up its noon and I climb out of bed with a yawn, walking down the steps. Just as I step down from the last step my front door opens, Austin barging inside.

"Hey" I walk into the kitchen.

"Hi" He mumbles, following after me.

"How are you? You look flustered" I tease, pinching his cheek.

"Griffin" He groans, and I laugh.

"Sorry, so what are you doing here?"

"I just wanted to apologize for this morning. I got caught up in the moment and you looked really beautiful and I don't know something just came over me. I didn't want to make you uncomfortable and I'm really sorry" He rambles and I shake my head, a smile on my face.

"Don't apologize" I chuckle "I'm fine, and I'm not uncomfortable. It took me by surprise, but I'm fine"

"Okay" He nods "I should get back to school but I'll see you later" He scratches the back of his neck. I follow him and follow him towards the door, my fingers fiddling in front of me. He opens the door and walks out, and I lean against the frame.

"Austin?" I speak up and he turns around. I walk closer to him, and place a hand on his shoulder. Taking a deep breath I stand on my toes and press a light kiss to his lips, obviously catching him by surprise "See you later"

"Mhmm" He nods awkwardly, clearly unable to form a sentence. I walk back inside and shut the door behind me, leaning against the wall, biting my lip to suppress and smile.

I can't believe I actually did that.

:austin:

I still am completely stunned as I walk through the halls. She kissed me. And not in a I want to see how it feels kind of way. I hadn't meant to kiss her this morning, it was just a spur of the moment kind of thing and before I could stop myself it was over and I was running away.

I don't know what to do anymore with her. I can't take this whole, we're just friends thing anymore. I want to be more, but I don't know if she's even up for it.

When the day finally ends, I find myself parking in my driveway and walking over to Griffins house, walking through the door.

"Hi" She says, and I smile "I was just about to watch a movie, you want to come?" She asks.

"Sure" I nod, following her up the steps. I lay down in her bed, and she grabs the remote to her Xbox, laying in bed beside me and clicking on Netflix. She puts on a movie and moves slightly closer to me and I look at her out of the corner of my eye, seeing a smirk on her face.

"What are you up to?" I ask, and she shakes her head.

"Nothing" She shakes her head, turning to look at me. She bites her lip and pulls the blanket over us, turning her attention back to the TV.

"What movie did you choose?" I ask.

"Hush" She says, and I furrow my eyebrows "Sorry" She laughs "The movie is called Hush, I'm not telling you too hush"

a/n: this is an actual movie on Netflix. I've watched it with my brother and I give it about a 7/10. It wasn't bad, but it was really short😂

"Oh" I nod.

"Yeah, so hush" She smirks and I chuckle, shaking my head. About halfway through the movie, Griffins face is buried into my chest as semi-gruesome things happen, and she squeals at the sounds "I don't know why I wanted to watch this" She whines.

"I don't know either" I chuckle, running my fingers through her hair and kissing her forehead.

"I'm going to tough it out" She says, turning her attention back to the movie. Rather than burying her face into my neck, she grabbed my hand instead, holding it in hers tightly.

When the movie is finally over she breathes out I'm relief and turns off the tv, turning to look at me "So?"

"It wasn't too bad" I shrug.

"I agree" She nods, leaning her head on my shoulder. She wraps one of my arms around her back and I look down at her.

"You're awful touchy today" I trail off.

"I don't know. I just have this urge" She says "I can't just not be touchy with you"
