Is he ever going to give in to it and just tell me? Because if he doesn't, I do actually have to kill her.

Seconds have gone by, and just as I think he's really not going to tell me to stop, he finally gives in. "STOP! OK, I'll tell you". He says, panicked.

I stop and turn my head to him, and then release the girl. "Good". I say, wiping most of the blood off with my sleeve. The girl still doesn't make a sound, as I told her and is sitting next to me, on her knees. She must be really afraid deep inside. Perhaps I should get her an icecream after all this.

'Zach, open up!'. Mandy yells and knocks hard on the door several times.

I turn my head to the door. "Not now Mandy. You should go". I respond, and then turn my head back to the man.

"Why are you here?". I ask, immediately getting to the point. "And if you lie, I swear I'll do it again".

But then I hear the door opening, and Mandy's coming in.

I turn my head confused back to the door where Mandy's standing at. "How in hell did you get in?". I ask, surprised.

<MANDY'S POV>

"How in hell did you get in?". Zach asks, surprised.

I immediately stand still when I see his face being covered up in blood. And when I look at the girl, who's holding her hand in her neck, I feel a lot of rage coming up.

'What did you do?!'. I ask, fast and angry as I'm running over to the little girl.

"Not now, Mandy. I'll explain it later". He responds, relaxed. He turns around to the man. "Why are you here?". He asks, looking to the man.

"Someone paid me, OK?". He replies. "The person gave me a bag of stuff and told me to go to this house and take the vampire the person claimed to live here. At first I didn't believe it, but then she showed me the greenhouse".

I look confused at the conversation Zach is having with the man.

"She?". Zach asks.

The man looks up at Zach as if he's accidentally told more than he was intending to do.

"WHO is she?!". Zach says, loud.

"No, I didn't say she". The man replies.

Zach turns around and changes look from me to the girl. "Get her out of here". He says.

I grab the girl, carefully lift her up and head down stairs.

<ZACH'S POV>

When Mandy closes the door behind her I grab the man's throat really tight. "If you don't answer now, I WILL bleed you out until you're so weak and Petalum-free, that I can compel you to tell me, and then to kill yourself". I clarify, loud.

I notice the man's trying to say something, so I release him. He breathes in and out really heavy, and then finally starts telling me. "Yes, it was a she.. But she didn't mention her name. I feel like there are holes in my memory lately". He responds, frustrated.

Hearing him say that, I immediately make a connection. Holes in his memory.. Someone compelled him to do this.

I give a blow on his head. "That's because you've been compelled, you idiot". I say as response to the holes in his memory he mentioned.

Then I hear Mandy, she's in the living room and seems to be in trouble. 'NO!'.

I immediately head down stairs to the living room to see what happened.

<MANDY'S POV>

"What happened, Mandy?!". I hear Zach saying from behind me.

I startle and look behind me, where I face Zach who is standing really close to me.
