Who Are You, Man?

I stand up, insecure, knowing I'm in quite a predicament right now..

He grabs me and turns me around, where I face the door Alissa is standing at. "So what are you going to do now, Alissa?" He says, giving Alissa a hard opportunity.

But she just remains silent, knowing she's no match for Mason..

He smiles threatening. "Well, at least I know I can have my way with her without getting interrupted".

I heard no shred of emotion in his voice when he said that, he's being duly serious, no bluff.. Where is the old Mason? I can't believe how he completely changed because of some simple herb..

Then I feel he's holding me tighter and walks towards the door Alissa is standing at. "Can you save her now?" He asks, giving Alissa an even harder choice now.

Why is he doing this? He knows she can't do anything.. he's just toying around. At this moment I just hope Zach will come and interfere to get us out of this situation Mason brought us in.

I turn around to Mason, who was holding me tight so I can see the hard time Alissa is having. 'Just.. kill me already'. I say with effort and valiance.

He starts laughing, a little suppressed. "Kill you? I was never planning of killing you, Mandy"

He releases me from his grasp and then heads over to Alissa. "Your boy, Michael. That's his name, right?" He asks as he looks at Alissa who is looking to be shocked about him mentioning that.

"Well?" He repeats.

But no words seem to be able to escape Alissa, so she only nods carefully.

"Did you know a family member of his deliberately  hit him with a car?" He asks, this time serious. "And injected me with Solanum?".

Alissa remains quiet, probably processing what he said.

"No?" He inquires. "Well I didn't know either, until an hour ago when my memory came back. Because the freaking side effect Solanum gave me was memory loss.."

The silence at the moment predominates, which makes Mason make his next move..

"Well, you don't say much" He says, and then turns back to me, rapidly moving over, right in front of me. His eyes turn deep dark, which makes me take a step back, but he stops me.

"No hard feelings". He says. And after he said that, his eyes turn deep black, with a little red at the side of each eye. I immediately struggle to get away from him, but he's just too strong.

"NO!" Alissa yells, looking on how Mason's going to hurt me.

He just ignores her and looks at me, with his black eyes. I'm so scared I will feel the pain again, the extreme pain of being fed on.. So I close my eyes and wait until that terrible moment I've been through a few times earlier.

But then I feel Mason's roughly being pushed away and someone else holding me instead. When I open my eyes I see it's Zach who came to the rescue. 'Zach!' I say, loud. I impulsively hug him, being so incredibly glad I won't be feeling that pain again.

He looks concerned. "Are you OK?' He says while observing me, looking for any wounds.

'I'm fine.. It's just Mason'. I say, a little shaky.

He nods comprehensible and then looks at Mason who is laying on the ground against the wall Zach thrown him to. "Be right back". He says, and then rapidly heads over to Mason. I just keep being amazed of the vampire-fast-run thing.

Zach looks at Mason, who's trying to get up and then kicks in his stomach, which makes Mason fall to the ground again. "That's for messing with her" He angrily says and grabs a syringe out of his jacket.
