Test Subject

Mandy quickly heads over to me and Mason. 'Be fast, how can I get you out of here before he wakes up?!'. She asks, fast and desperate.

I slowly turn my head to the tap. Mandy seems to get my hint and pulls the syringe where my blood's being transported in off, and then heads to Mason to do the same.

While she's standing at the table Mason's lying on, I notice the man, Vex, is moving. He's slowly getting up, but Mandy doesn't hear it.

"..Mandy". I say soft and with effort. But it seems to be too soft for her to hear.

When she turns around, it's already too late. Vex's standing right in front of her and harshly gives her a punch in the face. She groans of pain and falls to the ground. Every time she tries to get up, he gives her another kick in the stomach.

And I'm just laying here, not being able to do anything. I heavily try to release myself, but the only thing I accomplish is my arms getting almost broken.

I see Mandy's silently lying on the ground, but she's not dead. Vex walks my way and stands next to my table. "Brave friend you have". He says, and presses a button which releases me from the handcuffs. He immediately binds a Petalum rope, which is burning me, around my hands behind my back and pushes me off the table.

"Time for the next tests". He says. "I'm sure you won't dislike this one".

He grabs my shirt and pushes me up, forcing me to walk. But I can barely speak, let alone walking. While I'm being pushed forward to the door, I look at Mandy who is lying on the ground. Unfortunately I'm too weak to kill his ass and get Mandy the hell out of here.

After walking two minutes we stand still in front of a concrete door. He opens it by entering a code and then pushes me into the large empty room, closing the door right after I get in. It's a dusky, 15 by 15 meters large empty room where the wall across the door is entirely made of firm glass. There is only one flickering light above the door, but the glass also lets in some light. When I look around the room, I notice Vex and one other person is standing at the desk behind the glass, facing me.

"Send someone in". Vex says to the man. "Let's see how he'll react to this".

After a few minutes I hear a man sobbing loudly from behind the concrete wall, in the hallway.

"This is what you get when betraying us". Another voice says, and I hear the sobbing person being pushed forward.

I slowly move into the dark spot in the room and wait what's going to happen.

"He's hearing them". Vex says to the man next to him. "..Amazing"

"NO!". I hear the sobbing man yelling after hearing they've cut him with a knife. The door opens and the man's roughly getting pushed in.

I immediately smell the big cut they've made in his neck, which the man's holding his hand on.

"Please don't kill me". The man says, scared and sobbing as he's looking around in the dark room, staying in the flickering light.

I slowly approach him, staring at his neck. He notices me and flinches to the door as soon as I get in the light. "..NOO, please!". He begs with a shaky voice.

But I can't help it.. I'm just too hungry and I feel so exhausted. I can't help Mandy and Mason if I'm feeling like this. So I let my eyes turn black, and with the last strength I have, rapidly head over to him. I immediately push his hand away from his neck and feed.

In just a few seconds I feel every strength I lost coming back, and the hunger is going away. Words can't describe how good this feels.

After a minute I release the man and let him fall to the ground. I must have drank every inch of blood he has without having a breathe pause. But it was definitely worth it.
