Zach has seen I'm down about it and comes closer to me. "Come." He says and leads me to the couch.

When we sit down, he grabs my hand. "Now let me treat that wound of yours. Because I know I can treat you better, than he can." He says exactly how the song goes, and then looks at Mason.

'Oh no, you can go ahead. I like that song.' I say, laughing.

He smiles, then carefully grabs my hand and starts bandaging.

'The pain seems to have reduced for now.' I say as I'm observing how concentrated he's bandaging.

"Good to hear." He responds. After a minute or two he's done.

'Thank you, again.' I say, honest.

He smiles. "You don't always have to thank me."

I smile back, but then I start wondering where Alyssa's at. 'So where's Alyssa? Isn't she like always at interesting situations?' I ask, looking at Mason.

"I don't know. Probably sleeping." He responds.

"Nope, she's not." We hear Alyssa saying from the door opening. "You were right, Mandy. One point for you."

Zach looks curious at Alyssa. "What brought you here?" He asks.

"Curiosity." "..And you." She adds, smiling.

"What?" Zach and Mason both respond at the same time.

She starts laughing softly. "I was just kidding".

Suddenly I feel an indescribable dizziness. It feels like I'm about to faint. At the same time the cut starts to sting a lot again. 'Guys I don't feel so well.' I say while I cringe of pain.

Zach rapidly stands next to me, supporting me, so I won't fall. Then he looks at Alyssa and Mason. "I think you need to go". He says.

'No. You can stay if you want. I don't mind.' I say, fast to make them feel at least a little welcome.

"We'll be fine and Mandy, I hope you'll get better soon." Alyssa says.

Mason comes closer and stops right in front of me. "You're going to get better. If you need me, I'm here." He says, looking friendly.

I nod as a thank you, not really being capable of talking right now. Mason turns around and leaves with Alyssa.

The pain keeps returning, every time a little more painful. I groan of pain and close my eyes. Zach notices standing takes a lot of energy for me now and lifts me up. He lays me on the couch and gives me the aspirin he had put on the table twenty minutes ago.

"Here's some water." He says, handing me a glass of water.

I take the aspirin along with a lot of water and give the glass back to Zach. I can't think clearly. Is this how dying feels like?

He carefully lifts my head a little and sits down next to where I'm lying. I feel like I'm already getting a little less dizzy. "You're going to be fine. I promise." He says, stroking softly through my hair.

Eventually I fall asleep.

A month has gone by, but the pain didn't reduce and the cut's still there in the same condition. Every day the pain got worse. It was so painful, to the point I didn't even go to school, and stayed the nights at their house. I didn't hear a lot from my friend Alissa. Only that she now has a relationship with Michael. Maybe it's better like this. She doesn't deserve to be caught up in my problems.

"Looks like the aspirin worked." Zach says, sitting down next to me, looking at the TV.

I nod. 'Luckily I still got these brief moments'. I respond while playing Battlefield 4 on my PlayStation 4 in their living room.
