Mark
Mark woke up to what felt like the train slowing down. As he came out of his room, he noticed the buildings from the Capitol right nearby. He actually smiled, kind of excited. He then went into Jack's room.
"Jack, Jack!" Mark whispered. "We're here!"
Jack groaned.
"We're here at the Capitol! We have to get up!" Mark whispered.
Jack slowly sat up.
"We're here already?" Jack asked.
"Yeah!" Mark whispered still.
The two of them quickly got ready before the train slowly reached the Capitol's station. As they looked out of the window, they noticed hundreds of people from the Capitol cheering right in front of them.
Mark and Jack looked at each other.
"That's right boys, take it all in!" Effie said, walking into the room. "Today is all about introducing you boys to the rest of the tributes and to the entire Capitol! Then tomorrow and for the next two weeks, you boys will be training!"
"Do we seriously have to train?" Mark whined sarcastically. Effie looked at him seriously. "I'm kidding, come on! Take a joke!"
As the train stopped, the two of them were immediately brought out of the train, guards surrounding them as they made their way through the crowd of people before finally making it into the building.

Dan
Just about an hour after Jack and Mark arrived, and about a half hour after Ken and Felix arrived, Dan and Phil's train arrived at the station. The crowd was still just as nuts as when the first train pulled up.
Dan and Phil looked at each other and smiled as they saw the huge crowd.
"This is going to be amazing!" Dan said.
"For right now it's going to be." Phil responded.
"C'mon Phil, just enjoy today!" Dan said. "Smile! Look enthusiastic! Because if you look the way you look right now, there's no way we'll get sponsors."
"Okay..." Phil sighed.
"Do it for me, Phil..." Dan whispered. "You know you want to..."
Phil let out a chuckle, "alright, I'll do it for you."
The two of them held hands as they were brought through the crowd and into the building. After reaching the building, the two of them were panting for breath.
"That was insane!" Phil smiled.
"Y'know that's how it's going to be tonight and also when we get interviewed, also!" Dan said.
"I can't wait for those!" Phil said.
"Mean either..." Dan said.

Matthias
Him and Robert were the last people to arrive and had the least amount of time to relax before the opening ceremonies. However, the crowd was still just as excited, as if they were the first people to get there. Before they left the train, Matthias took his photo of his family and put it in his pocket, promising himself not to forget to bring it with him to the games when the day comes.

"Hello everybody and welcome to the opening ceremonies of the annual Hunger Games!" Caesar Flickerman announced. "Tonight, is all about the tributes as they are paraded into the Capitol by chariot. Each of them wearing different outfits to symbolize their district."
"This is very exciting and also very important." Claudius announced. "It is exciting because we get to finally see these tributes and what they can do. But it is also important because what they are wearing and doing on these chariots can also affect how they will do in the games."
"That's right Claudius---" Caesar said.
But just as he was about to say anything else, trumpets began blaring and the door slowly began to open.
"It looks like the parade is about to begin!" Caesar announced.
Just then, Jack and Mark came out on their chariot first. They each were wearing solid gold gladiator costumes.
"Here comes District 2, wearing what looks like gladiator costumes!" Caesar announced.
"This is usually what is worn every year by the tributes in District 2, but it doesn't seem to make a difference because the crowd still loves it!" Claudius claimed.
Just then, the second chariot came out, revealing Felix and Ken. They were wearing solid silver suits with what looked like holograms on them.
"Here comes District 3, and their costumes look incredible!" Caesar announced. "Those holograms on their suits have different colors and everything!"
"I can't imagine how long it took their stylist to make those costumes! But it seems to have paid off because the crowd is cheering for them!" Claudius announced.
Then, the third chariot came out with Dan and Phil wearing solid, neon blue suits. Each of their wrists had strings tied to them as the strings went out to a long cape behind them that was flying with the wind and almost looked like waves.
"Here comes District 4 with their theme of Fishing, and there doesn't really seem to be any fishing in their theme this year." Caesar explained. "But it doesn't seem like it matters because their costumes are still blowing away the crowd!"
"Their costumes look so simple yet so incredible!" Claudius said.
The next chariot came out with Matt and Ryan, who were wearing glittery suits and on the back of the chariot, sparks were coming out.
"Here comes District 5!" Caesar announced. "And it looks like the crowd is loving the glittery costumes and the effects on the back of the chariot!"
"I think this definitely represents their district very well!" Claudius claimed.
The next chariot came out with Bob and Wade. Bob wore a yellow suit while Wade wore a navy blue suit.
"Here comes District 6!" Caesar announced.
"It doesn't seem like the crowd is into their appearance very well." Claudius said.
"It doesn't look like the tributes are, either." Caesar agreed.
"This might be a bad start for them, but hopefully once training comes around, they will up their game." Claudius stated.
The final chariot came out with Matthias and Robert. They were also wearing gold suits, with rows of gold strings attached to their sleeves.
"Here comes our final district, District 9!" Caesar announced. "And yet another spectacular pair of costumes from these tributes!"
"I love all the enthusiasm. Not just from this group but from all the tributes." Claudius said. "Most of them were waving to the crowd and showing their excitement to one another."
"I know I say this every year, but I mean it when I say this year's Hunger Games is going to be a big one!" Caesar claimed.
The music then slowly stopped and President Snow rose up from his seat and approached the podium.
"Welcome Tributes," President Snow began, "welcome members of the Capitol, to the annual Hunger games!"
There was a moment of cheers and applause from the audience before everyone became silent.
"I would like to thank everybody who has made sure that this Hunger Games will be the best Hunger Games in our history." President Snow began.
The audience cheered again. The tributes were silent. Then, moments later, everybody stopped and listened once more.
"And furthermore, I would like to thank the tributes, for their courage and their sacrifice... we salute you and wish you a happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favor."
The crowd cheered once more.
"So without farther ado, let the games commence!" President Snow concluded.
The entire audience did a standing ovation, cheering and jumping down on their seats. Meanwhile, all the chariots were brought into separate rooms, and each tribute was brought into their rooms.
