Phil

A look of both surprise and fear spread across Phil's face as he heard that Dan had killed somebody.

"Wh-Who did you kill?" Phil asked.
"I-I think I killed the guy from District 3." Dan responded.
"You mean Felix?" Phil asked.
"Y-Yeah I guess." Dan nodded.

There was a moment of silence before Phil spoke up again.

"Are you alright?" Phil asked.
"Y-Yeah I'm fine." Dan responded.
"D-Do you want me to be the lookout while you rest?" Phil asked.
"I don't see me sleeping at this point after I killed that guy." Dan claimed.
"Dan, you need to rest." Phil assured him.

Dan looked up at Phil and smirked a smile. He felt thankful that Phil was now supporting him. Dan was always the one assuring Phil everything would be alright.

"You sure you'll be alright?" Dan asked.
"I'll come to you if anything happens." Phil responded.

Dan nodded before lying down on the cold, rocky ground. However, he managed to fall asleep right away. Phil then headed over towards the entrance of the cave and began looking out to see if anything or anybody was coming.

He then looked ahead of him and saw light beginning to show through the forest. Sunrise was coming. This gave him hope. It was the beginning of a new day.

Robert

Later on that morning, Robert opened his eyes and sat up. Jack was still asleep right next to him.

He then smelt something burning. He stood up and peered beyond the bushes. He noticed a huge wildfire burning ahead of him. He immediately knelt down next to Jack and tried to wake him up.

"Jack, we have to go!" Robert exclaimed waking him up. Jack only groaned. "JACK! C'MON THERE'S A FIRE! WE HAVE TO GO!"

Robert then looked up and noticed the fire moving closer to them. At this point, it was either do or die.

So he grabbed his stuff and ran off.

Jack

Jack woke up to the sound of Robert yelling at him and telling him to get up. But before he could actually sit up, Robert was already out of sight.

Jack quickly grabbed his stuff and tried to search for him, only to find more flames. He then began running and trying to find a path that wasn't covered in flames.

Suddenly, an explosion from right behind him sent him flying and rolling down a hill. He could feel himself limping as he quickly stood up. He was hissing in pain and trying to run away from the fire. He then tripped and fell again. This time he couldn't get up.

Jack looked at the wound on his leg. It was the mix of a burn and a huge scrape, he thought he could see some white from a bone.

"Oh god..." He whispered to himself.

He knew he couldn't walk any farther without being in more pain, but he knew that if he just stood there, he would possibly die.

But he didn't have much choice in the matter.

Signe

Signe watched as the monitors were focused on Jack, lying there and grabbing his leg in pain. She almost got emotional seeing him like that. She knew there was only one thing she had to do. She had to go to the sponsors that supported him. She struck up a quick conversation and got along with them quite nicely.

Finally, they struck a deal, and they would help him.

Jack

Jack continued laying there for what seemed like an hour. He tried to keep his wound clean through some fresh leaves, but he knew that wouldn't work for long.

He then suddenly heard a beeping noise coming from nearby. He then heard some rustling from a nearby bush. He slowly got up and limped his way over to the bush. He noticed a a cylinder container. He immediately opened it, where he saw burn cream and bandages. Inside there was also a note.

Please handle with care.

He then looked up at the trees and the sun, wondering where this could've came from. He knew people were watching him, but he didn't know who gave him this. He knew it was either Signe or his sponsors. Either way, he was thankful for it.

He immediately put the burn cream on and put on the bandages over his leg. After a few moments, he felt like he could move properly again, and he continued walking.

Mark

Mark looked over a hillside, noticing smoke from the other side of the lake.

"Oh my god." He mumbled to himself.

He wanted to go and check it out but at the same time he knew it was a sign of danger, so he stayed away from it and continued walking down to the lake.

As he reached into his bag to grab the small bottle and fill it up with water, he heard a voice.

"That water's poisonous." The voice said.

He turned around, realizing it was Wade from District 6.

"How do you know?" Mark asked.

Wade pointed behind Mark. Mark's eyes widened as he saw dead animals lying across the lake.

"What's going on?" Mark asked.
"The Capitol are using these animals to try and poison the tributes," Wade explained, "They have some of the animals drink the water and die right away while they have some survive and be hunted."
"How do you know that?" Mark asked.
"I saw the helicopter that dropped off these animals." Wade claimed. "It was the same helicopter that picks up the dead bodies."
"How many people are dead so far?" Mark asked.
"Five." Wade said. "The ones that are left are you, me, your other friend, the guy from District 5, the guy from District 9 and the two guys from District 4."

Mark felt relieved knowing his friend was still alive. He then looked at Wade again.

"I'm surprised you've survived." Mark stated, "because you and your other friend basically protested."
"I'm just staying away from the action." Wade said.
"But the Capitol is watching over us." Mark said, "so they'll probably make action for you."
"In that case, I'm glad I found someone who has supplies and weapons."
"You didn't get any?" Mark asked.
"I lost mine." Wade said.

Mark chuckled and rolled his eyes.

"Alright, maybe we can find them or maybe find something useful for you."
"Alright, that sounds good." Wade nodded.

Before they started to walk, Mark stopped Wade.

"Thanks for saving me back there." Mark said.
"No problem." Wade responded.

Wade and Mark then went off to search for supplies in the woods.

Capitol

Seneca Crane and the other staff members of the game are in the lab watching over the tributes.

"Sir!" A worker says to Seneca, "Those two tributes are headed West."
"Okay, whenever they stop to rest for the night. Set up a trap." Seneca responded. "We'll give them a surprise they've been waiting for."
