Mark

Mark goes into the television room where Ryan and Phil are watching Caesar Flickerman talking about the Hunger Games. It still surprised him that despite Dan having been killed by Ryan, Phil, his family and Dan's family managed to finally get along. Maybe it was a trick, or maybe it wasn't.

"What's going on out there?" Ryan asked Mark. "I heard Capitol soldiers storm into one of the rooms a while ago."
"I'm not sure..." Mark shrugged. "But Jack's room is heavily guarded."
"Why? What's wrong?" Phil asked.
"They say he got sick and they took him to an isolated area and they're quarantining his room." Mark explained. "But I think that's all a lie."
"How?" Ryan asked.

Suddenly, before Mark could explain anything else, sirens and bells erupted in the room and Capitol soldiers came into the room.

"What's going on?" Mark asked.
"This area is under lockdown! We need you all to get back to your rooms until farther notice!" The Capitol soldiers demanded.

They wanted to ask what was going on, but they didn't have much say in the matter. So they quietly went with the soldiers and they were put back into the rooms.

Jack

Jack's heart was racing as both him and Dan were crawling through the vents, but they did it was quickly and slowly as possible without stopping.

They suddenly came to a dead end where all they could do was climb down the vent. Surprisingly, there were ladders that they could climb down the vent easily without having to fall and get hurt. Once they got down to the very bottom, they continued crawling.

Suddenly, right ahead of them, they noticed a line of lights coming from every other vent. As they silently crawled up to the first one, Jack looked down through the vent, noticing guards inside of the room.

That was his room that he had stayed in before. They were on the same floor as the other tributes.

Jack looked at Dan and put his pointer finger to his lip and slowly and quietly crawled over the vent to his room. Once they were clear, they    continued forward and peeked through the next vent.

There, in that room, was Phil.

Dan looked over at Jack and smiled.

"He's right there..." Dan smiled. "I need to see him!"
"Dan, that's too risky." Jack whispered. "We could get caught."
"I don't care what happens, I just want him to know that I'm alive!" Dan responded.
"But what if we get caught?" Jack asked. "They could actually kill you right on the spot, and this time for good!"
"They said I was too important to be killed." Dan stated.

Jack paused. Realizing that was the exact same thing he was told.

Jack then looked through the vent again at Phil, who was just sitting on his bed. He then looked up at Dan and sighed.

They then began to open the vent.

Phil

Phil jolted as he heard a screeching sound from up above him. He looked up, realizing it was coming from the air vents.

As he approached it and looked up, he noticed the air vent completely opening.

He then noticed two guys jumping down from the air vent. One of them was Jack.

But the other one, Phil thought at first, was a hallucination.

There's no way that's him. There's no way he can be alive.

Dan.

Dan had an emotional smile on his face as he gazed at Phil. Phil still stood there, trying to figure out if this was all real.
