EPILOGUE

"Hey Lucy! Did you get the pizza?" Jaden yelled and was met with a cushion to the face.

"Yeah, why don't you get your lazy ass off that sofa and get it yourself douchebag" She retorted with an eye-roll.

Trying not to laugh at the exchange between them I let my eyes drift around the group of werewolves and humans who over the past six months had begun to grow on me. Andy and Louise were curled up in the loveseat looking like a romance movie couple, Victor was shuffling through a book in some nook or cranny, Susan was chatting up a guy in my maths class – he looked a tad confused – Jack was playing beer pong with a couple of other guys; and Estelle was beside me getting drunk.

Taking another shot of tequila, she fixed me with her unwavering gaze.

"Are you alright Estelle? You've had a few drinks" I said, sounding like her mum – something she had frequently pointed out over the past few months.

"You're freaking-g me out a little girly. You're...like...staring into thin air smiling to yourself. Did w-wolf boy give you c-c-candy again? I told that idiot not to..." She slurred as she continued to stare at me with a small frown.

Sighing, I sat up on the bar stool.

"I was just thinking" I wasn't really prepared to confess quite yet.

"Ohhh...thank you for the enlightenment!"

Even drunk, Estelle was sarcastic as ever. To be truthful she was more drunk than sober half the time so it didn't really make much of a difference. Alcohol was her form of escape, a coping mechanism to deal with her psychic abilities – according to her anyway.

She'd told me about the time she'd had a vision about her then boyfriend cheating with her then best friend. When it'd come true a week later Estelle had freaked out, thinking she was insane. That had been one of many instances when her visions had come true.

"I was supposed to graduate last year but my meltdown kind of deterred my ability to achieve the grades" She'd explained.

Finally she found a group on the internet, people who seemed to be going through the same thing: visions. After meeting up with them and entering the supernatural world she began to learn about the other creatures: the werewolves, witches, vampires, only god knows what else. She began to embrace her psychic abilities and managed alienate herself from her friends and family. Having been raised in a traditional religious home she hadn't found it particularly easy to talk about her abilities. However, she finally pulled up the courage to move out when she was eighteen. Now she was living with two other girls in an apartment in what seemed to be a rough area. She was tough so I wasn't too worried about her ability to take care of herself but it still gave me the creeps thinking about her near kidnapping.

Drew came up from behind me and hugged me with one arm.

"Hey beauty and the thorn patch" He greeted as he sat down on the stool beside me.

"Hello to you too wolf boy. I almost forgot you both are attached to the hip like Bonnie and Clyde" She growled as she downed another shot before leaving us alone and venturing into the mass of people who'd turned up to Drew and Victor's eighteenth birthday party. Everyone seemed to be having fun in one way or another.

'You're Beautiful' by James Blunt began to play.

"Will you dance with me?"

Breaking my trance I looked at my mate. He looked magnificent like always with a dark blue dress shirt and black jeans. His hair was perfectly messy in his usual 'I rolled out of bed' look.
