The end credits rolled across the tv screen and I finally took a deep breath and absorbed the reactions of those sitting around me.
I bit back the millionth laugh in the past three hours as they continued to gaze at the screen in a mild state of shock. I especially loved the way Lucy was gaping as if she had just encountered the strangest creature ever and couldn't understand how to react. A pile of tissues lay in her lap.
If I hadn't been so intrigued by their reactions I would have most certainly found myself in the same position - minus the shock of course.
"Well that was...one very emotional journey" Drew said slowly.
"Oh my gosh! I can't believe he let her go after all that" Lucy suddenly burst out as she clutched my hand.
"But the train must have been going pretty slowly if she was able to make it…" Victor interjected always the logical one.
"Especially in those heels" Ruby added.
"Don't think about it too much" I suggested to save them from the headache.
Rule number one whilst watching bollywood movies was to just accept the plot holes and in this case pretend a girl dressed in high heels and a ghagra really could outrun a train.
I had chosen Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and everyone in the room looked rather shell shocked as the end credits rolled across the screen even Drew - though he would never admit it.
"Thats like relationship goals. We need to try that honey" Ruby said as she turned to Jack.
He looked rather terrified at her suggestion.
"Are you crazy? You'll get hurt"
A mischievous grin took over Ruby's features at his words.
"Who said I was going to be the one running with heels on?" She asked and I had to bite back a giggle as Jack turned fifty shades of snow white.
"Yeah Jack, we'll love seeing you run in heels considering you always boast about being the fastest runner in the pack" Lucy smirked as she joined in with the teasing.
He looked towards Drew for moral support but my mate just shrugged helplessly and said
"Don't get me involved bro. I have enough as it is dealing with this one" he tugged me into his lap and wound his arms around my waist.
"Thanks a lot" Jack muttered as he stood up and slung a rather bewildered Ruby onto his shoulders.
"Sorry guys but I think Ruby and I will be taking a raincheck on that offer. You see, we have a lot to take care of at the moment" he said as he began to carry his very unamused mate out of the room much to our amusement.

It was now late in the evening. Louise had awoken and was declared healthy by the doctor - for the present at least. Drew had persauded me into his room and now we were both lying on his bed.
After a moment of silence he turned on his side to face me.
"Have you ever been to India before?"
I stilled. I had to tell him eventually even if it was painful.
"Yes I have. I was only four. My grandparents were very loving people"
"But something happened" he stated as he regarded my face with a little frown.
I nodded, swallowing the knot forming in my throat.
"I…I was playing hide and seek with my cousins and some of the children in the neighbourhood when this man just grabbed me and put this bag over my face so I couldn't shout for help. I remember crying and trying to scream. There are a lot of cliffs and mountains where my grandparents live. He was going to push me off a cliff but one of my uncles came to save me. But that wasn't the only time. It happened again and luckily my mother was close by. I didn't know what I had done to deserve to be killed. I thought they hated me just because my mom is white and my dad is indian"
