Oh. My. God.
Was I dreaming? Probably. I pinched my arm when Adam wasn't looking.
Omg. He had actually invited me into his hotel room to eat pizza with him!!!
"He handed me a slice of pizza on a napkin.
"Hope you like mushrooms peppers and lots of cheese,"
"Love them," I smiled, trying not to pass out as his fingers brushed against mine.
We ate in silence.
I noticed a guitar in a fabric case sitting in the corner.
After I finished my slice, I looked at Adam.
"Want another slice?" He asked.
"No thanks," I smiled at him.
He finished his off soon after.
"Um..." I tried to think of something not completely stupid to say.
"Oh!! I'm really excited for your concert on Saturday!"
"You're going?" He smiled.
"Yeah. My mom bought me tickets,"
"Well I'm glad you're excited,"
He picked up the donut I had given him and picked at it.
"Excuse me," he said in a butler voice "I have to use the restroom briefly,"
I laughed, probably like a crazy person.
The bathroom door clicked and I heard it lock.
I gasped.
The letter!
Then disappointment flooded through me. I had left it in my suitcase.
Or had I?
I reached a hand in my pocket and pulled out the slightly crumpled letter. it had "Adam" written on the front in my neatest cursive. I had put it in my pocket before the drive here because I had known I would forget to fish it out of my luggage before the concert.
I quickly smoothed it out and placed it under his pillow.
Wait.
What if he came to my room after he found it and asked me about it? I'd be so embarrassed! What If he thought I was some weird creep?
No, I'd put it in his car or something after the concert. I leaned over the bed to retrieve it, but at that moment Adam returned from the bathroom and my hand shot back to my lap.
He looked at me, confused for a moment, then smiled and walked forward. I blushed.
"So..." He said. Oh no, oh no, oh no! He was going to ask what I'd been doing! Had I really been that-
"Um, do you play an instrument?"
I sighed with relief, and then nodded.
"Yeah, I play a little guitar, and I used to play the flute when I was in high school, but I suck now,"
"I doubt it," Adam said smiling. "If you practiced more often you'd probably get better. Once music's in you, it never leaves,"
I shook my head.
"For you maybe, but I'm really useless. Besides, I like to sing, and you can't sing while playing the flute,"
Darn, now he was probably going to make me sing!
But instead he unzipped the guitar case in the corner and handed me the guitar.
"Oh no, I cant!" I shook my head vigorously.
"But you just told me you can play guitar!" He laughed.
"Yeah, but not in front of you!" I frowned. "You're like the best guitar player ever! If I make one mistake I'll feel like an idiot!"
"Oh that is so not true," he rolled his eyes, the. A serious look came over his face.
"Please!!" He made sad puppy eyes.
I laughed so hard I almost fell on the floor, and the. Finally gave in and played a short song for him.
He smiled.
"Victory!!!" He pumped his fist in the air.
I laughed, and then spied the clock on the night table.
10:09.
I checked my phone.
10:09.
"Okay, how is that even possible?" I frowned looking at the clock.
Adam gasped when he looked at the clock, and then checked his phone just as I had.
"I don't know..." He frowned. "I think aliens may have interfered with the time,"
I laughed.
"Bye Adam," I smiled. "Thanks for the pizza,"
"Bye," he smiled.
I walked across the hall into my room, brushed my teeth, and got in bed.
The last thing I remember before doing all is:
I have a crush on Adam Young of Owl City. What else is new?
