The rest of the day went by so slowly. I kept thinking about Summer, and I didn't know why. By the end of the day I came to the conclusion that I was going to ask her if she wants to break off the deal and let her know that she can talk to me again. I was just so annoyed that she was talking to everyone but me. But, it was of my own doing so I felt that it was up to me to change that. When the bell rang, the first one to leave was Mr. Finn. After that, I looked for Summer, but she had already left. I saw her and Zack and Tomika in the hall. I decided to catch up with them.

"Hey dudes, what's up?" I said from behind them.

"Nothing much bro." Zack said. Zack made room for me and I merged into the group.

"Love to stay and chat, but I gotta go." Tomika said. She waved to us and ran down the hall.

"Bye Tomiks! Text me later!" Summer called after her.

"Hey Summer, my dad said yes. What time do you want me over?" Zack asked Summer.

"Four-thirty should be fine." She said. What's going on?

"Aright sweet." He said.

"What's this all about?" I asked. I was
So confused.

"Summer's just having a few people over." Zack said.

"Oh." Was she planning to invite me? I mean I know I couldn't go because of detention, but it would still be nice to have an invite.

"Alright Summer, I've gotta go. See you later. Bye Freddy!" He said, giving me two quick pats on the back before running out of the nearest doors.

"So..." Summer said awkwardly.

"Summer?" I asked.

"Yeah?" She said, lifting her eyes from the floor.

"I was wondering if you wanted to-"

"Hey guys." Someone interrupted me, "what's up?" I looked over to the other side of Summer to see none other than Ben. This guy was really starting to get on my nerves.

"Nothing! Hey would your mom mind if you came over tonight?" Summer immediately asked. She was asking him right in front of me? Was she planning on inviting me after she invited him?

"Probably not, who's going to be there?" He asked.

"Ahh, let's see. You, if your mom says yes, Zack, and I haven't asked them yet but Katie and Lawrence. Tomika can't go." She didn't say my name at all.

"Sweet. I'll call my mom and see what she says."

"Ok! And my mom can always give you a ride." She was offering him a ride too! She pulled out her phone and glanced at it. "Actually, Katie just texted me saying she was coming . I'm giving her a ride to my house so if you want one you can have one too. It's just you'll be there really early..." I can't even believe that she was inviting him over--and early! She just met him today. Was there something I was missing.

"Sounds great! I'll text my mom and let her know."

"Anyways, my moms here. We should go." She said, she looked my way, and did a double take. Like she had just realized I was there. It was if I had just showed up.

"Oh, bye Freddy. Have fun in detention." She said, walking away with Ben absolutely drooling all over him. Did she really like him! That's impossible, it's been not even six hours. She can't possibly already like him. It takes me at least two days to realize that I like a girl. This was really annoying. And I was just about to ask her something important. He totally interrupted. I could always text her later... I sighed and started walking to detention, great a whole hour to think about Summer. I walked in to see only one other boy that I didn't know siting in there. Ms. Mullins was sitting on the desk.

"Please, Freddy. Take a seat right here." She said, getting up and flicking her large ruler onto a desk two rows over from the other boy's desk. I sunk into the chair, waiting to get this two hours over with. Detention on the first day, who woulda thought? I took out my new five subject notebook. I started seeing little doodles on it. A half hour later, I had filled up a whole page. But not only that, the whole page was filled up with Summer's name, written in different fonts and shapes. Uh oh. I ripped the page out and crumpled it up and threw it into my back pack, can't let anyone see that.

"Alright boys, you have served your time. Freddy, stay awake in my class from no on, and Greg, I will see you tomorrow, same time. I was so happy to be done with school. I ran out the doors and got in my skateboard. I rode it all the way home. I walked into the door.

"Freddy Michael Jones, you were supposed to be home two hours ago. Where have you been?" My mom asked.

"I-um-I got detention..."

"Why! C'mon Freddy, it's the first day!" She groaned.

"I fell asleep in class..."

"On the first day! And you slept in! Really Freddy? Ok, I'm going to punish you. But we're going to wait till your father gets home to see what he says about this. Then we will decide your punishment together. Now go to your room." I shrugged and ran up the stairs to my room. I heard my sister giggling about some boy in her room. I rolled my eyes and continued to my room. I shut the door and threw my backpack on the floor. I rolled onto my bed and pulled out my phone. First things first, Instagram. The first thing I did was unblock Summer. Then I kept scrolling down my feed. I ignored everything until my eyes stopped on one picture. It was a picture of Ben, Katie, and Summer in Summer's car. It was on her page. The caption was "on our way🚙" but she didn't say to where. I just assumed it was her house. I looked through the comments and stopped on one that made me do a double take "Love you😘" commented by "bens16." I knew Ben commented this. I stared at it for a few minutes when I heard the six words that would make or break my weekend.

"Freddy, get your butt down here."

Yay! New chapters! Like I said though, this book will not be updated as much as my other two books and they will whenever I have time to write. I hoped you liked the two chapters! Anyways this book does not have an updating schedule or anything and I don't know the next time I will update it.
