Chapter 18

It was just a normal day, or so you had thought. You think about the previous day and sigh to yourself. You gaze up at the ceiling and mumble, "What will become of me?"

Meanwhile, Akiza was a bit frustrated with herself. She had gone over to visit Leo and Luna for a little bit. Akiza had brought some homework to work on but she didn't understand any of it. Leo whines, "Akiza! When are you going to finish?" They all stop when they hear the sound of a duel runner.

Dark Magician Girl was holding on to your duel runner. She asked, "Isn't this a bit too fast?!" You remark, "Since when are you afraid of this speed?" Dark Magician Girl replies, "Well this is too fast for my liking." You exhale, "Fine, I'll slow down." You add, "I wonder what Leo and Luna are doing." You slow down a bit more and drive into the elevator.

Akiza's ears perk up when she hears a knock on the door. She became curious, "Who could that be?" Before she could open the door however, the twins both rush towards the sound. She then heard, "Oof! I'm glad to see you two as well."

You were tackled by the twins. You chuckle, "It's nice to see you two." Luna grabs your hand, "Come on, Akiza's here too." You were led into the living room. There, you saw Akiza sitting by a medium-sized coffee table. "She looks very focused on something." "Now that you mention it, she does. She looks annoyed though." You ask Luna, "Where's your brother?" Luna points, "Leo's been annoying Akiza since she got here." You speak up, "Aki...what's wrong?" Akiza squeals, "Y/N!" Your eyes widen, you quickly move to the side and Akiza fell flat on her face. She rubs her cheek, "Come on! What was that for?!" You cross your arms, "No offense, I don't like the idea of being crushed into dust by my best friend." Akiza chuckles, "Fair enough." She adds, "I'm having trouble with this Chemistry and Psychology homework. Do you think that you could help me?" You smile, "Of course I can. You don't need to ask."

After a lot of explaining, Akiza was still confused. She asked, "Wait, can you explain that again? What does Sodium and Chloride make?" You explain it once more, "It combines to make Sodium Chloride or NaCl. That is the chemical formula for it." Akiza sighs, "I'll never get this!" You rub her arm in reassurance, "Don't be so hard on yourself. Instead of thinking of it as Chemistry, think of it like a duel. The elements are like duel monsters and the other components are like spells and traps. The compound is like the synchro monster." Akiza said, "I never thought of it that way..." Luna remarks to Leo, "She is just like Yusei. When Yusei explains something, he is always patient with Akiza." Leo shakes his head, "Y/N is patient but she's also calm no matter what. I think that she can relate to Crow more."

Later on, Crow was out delivering packages when he saw something blocking this way. There was a crowd of people in front of Leo and Luna's house.

You look out the window and ask, "Did anyone order a crowd full of random people?" Akiza's eyes enlarge, "Why are there so many people here? Is there some kind of attraction here?" The door suddenly flew open, revealing a panting Crow Hogan. Crow heaves, "You guys gotta leave...like now." Crow grabs your hand, "Especially you, princess. The people out there are from the news stations around New Domino City. They want a scoop on "The Girl Who Speaks with the supernatural." This is bad!" You throw your hands up in defense, "I didn't do anything though! How do they even know about the spirits?" Crow said, "We'd better hurry or else they'll storm inside."

A few minutes later, you all barely escape the crowd. You all finally make it to the boys' hideout. When Akiza got off her duel runner, she cast a worried glance in your direction.
