Time To Start A New
'You sure you've got everything you need?'
"I'm pretty sure, Vonnie." Evie smiled, packing the last of her school essentials in her satchel. "Today's gonna be great, I can feel it."
'Oh you are so gonna fail today, I bet you'll drop all your books and everyone will laugh at you.'
Wave's laughter echoed, and Evie frowned. Was today going to be good or bad? There was only one way to find out.
-With the Hamada's-
Cass served breakfast, and to the Hamadas' delight it was their favourite. Blueberry pancakes with maple syrup.
"This looks great!" Tadashi was ready to tuck in. "Thanks, Aunt Cass."
"Yeah, thanks, Aunt Cass."
While they ate, Cass still remembered seeing Tadashi arrive home with bruises and cuts all over him. She had told him that she couldn't forget the fight he had, but looking back on it, she realised she didn't have much of a choice. He'd been in multiple fights before, and just hearing about it made her wish she could have her old, sweet loving nephew back. He was still loving, but he wasn't the same person he used to be. He used to be gentle and had such a bright personality, but after everything he had been through, it was understandable why he had changed.
"So, uhh..." she started some lovely morning conversation. "I heard there's a new student starting today. Apparently she's from Canada."
When she said that, Cass did a little smirk and looked at Tadashi within the corner of her eye.
At the mention of the country, Tadashi stopped what he was doing and his eyes widened. Hiro tried to get his attention, but he soon realised why his brother was acting the way he was.
"You know he has a thing for Canadian girls, right, Aunt Cass? I think the nerd over here is having one of his moments."
"Oh that's right," Cass remembered, being sarcastic in a playful manner. "he hasn't even met the girl yet and I think he's starting to have a little crush. Look at that, he's blushing!"
Danika held back a laugh, and quickly got her phone from her pocket so that she could take a picture. As soon as the flash went off, Tadashi blinked and quickly knew what his happening.
"Whoa what- Danika! Did you just take a picture of me?"
"You were blushing, dude, of course I had to get a picture. Take a look, Aunt Cass, he looks like a total dork."
Cass peered at Danika's phone, and she laughed. Tadashi's eyebrows narrowed, he wasn't angry but he certainly didn't look pleased.
"Oh would you look at the time?" he said while looking at his watch. "Looks like we're gonna be late if we don't get going, we'll see you after school, Aunt Cass. C'mon, you two." he went to the front door and motioned for Hiro and Danika to join him.
"But we're still eating-"
His eyes glowed red, and Hiro and Danika quickly obeyed him as they didn't want to see him in his 'Sunfire' mode. Following Tadashi out, the three of them walked to school side by side.

"And are you sure we've got the right person?" Morley asked, his hands in his maroon trouser pockets. Maroon wasn't the most popular colour out there, but the Callaghan was able to make it work. With a matching tie and white shirt, his sense of style showed its true colours.
"I'm positive, Morls. Her name's Yvonne Loubelle and she's from Ottawa, Canada. I was reading through her application form and apparently she's a water mutant."
