Blood In The Water

A/N: As T.A.P will be drawing to a close in the next couple of chapters I decided to do something a bit different to make the story more exciting and interesting, as things have been pretty quiet in regards to the characters. Since T.E.P was around 40 chapters in total I am planning to end T.A.P at a similar mark. Hope you enjoy this chapter!

"Look me in my eyes, tell me everything's not fine."- grandson, Blood // Water.

Big Hero 6 and Element 5 all had one thing in common. Their minds were strong because they had suffered. They had endured the horrific and had dealt with the saddening. Big Hero 6, the loss of their friend. Element 5, the loss of their friend. One in the same, some might say. However, their biggest strength was their friendship, a bond that would never break. It was much too powerful to shatter; even the forces of evil could not damage something as hard as iron nails.

Kevin Farringway and Jamie Phelps were strong-minded as well. They had suffered endless amounts of non-stop training to become the assassins they were. Now they were gone, thanks to one weakness they shared: emotions.

Yvonne Loubelle spent most of her days and nights sobbing over the voices in her head and the passing of her grandparents. Truth be told, she hadn't gotten over them, broken hearts took time to heal.

As Morley Callaghan cared for his recovering cousin, the thoughts of his father's and uncle's crimes spun continuously in his head, just as they did every single day. Abigail took his hand in her own, giving him a reassuring mod.

"Everything's gonna be okay," she told him. Her usual complexion had returned, and somewhat Morley was thankful that he would be going back to vice principal duties rather than making decisions on Abigail's behalf. It was tough work, sorting important details and finalising paperwork.

"I will be sure to take that into consideration. Thank you for your time."

Robert Callaghan hung up the phone, placing the device on the table. He sat back in his chair with a sigh, looking at a frame with a photograph inside. He picked it up, a deep sadness in his blue eyes.

The photograph pictured his mother, father and both himself and his brother when they were children. If his memory was being right to him, the picture was taken some time in the early eighties. The year of synthesisers, great bands, flamboyant clothing and men wearing makeup.

As a child, Robert had to admit men sporting colourful clothes and wearing what was usually women's makeup was a weird concept to him, but now at the age of fifty-eight, there was a charm to it. Memories of dancing to groups like The Human League and Wham, rocking out to bands like The Clash and Queen, and singing along to songs by Prince, were just a few of the good times Robert could remember.

But that was all in the past. Robert was in the present, a harsh and cruel present. He put the frame down, he missed the good times more than anything. He missed his parents, his daughter, his nephew and surprisingly, he even missed his tyrant of a sibling.

"I was told I'd find you here." Machiko Watanabe, the former principal's assistant, said as she walked in. She was once Allistar Krei's assistant but left when given an opportunity for better wages- even better wages than what Krei gave. "Tough day?"

"You could say that," Robert replied, turning around in his chair to face Machiko. "Hard to believe today of all days, it happens to be Greg's birthday. If things had panned out differently, he'd be here, celebrating his big day with me and the family. But he turned out to be psychotic, and hundreds of people were hurt because of what he did."
