Say Hello To The Mad Hatter
'Someone just get me a brick so I can hit myself on the head with it.'
Tadashi was finding it hard to concentrate, and no matter how many times the tutor had told him to open his eyes and focus, he just couldn't find it within himself to do either of those things.
"I'm sick of having to tell him," the tutor muttered to herself and cleared her throat loudly enough so that Tadashi would hear it. "Are you done sleeping, Tadashi? Might I remind you that this is a classroom and not a bedroom? If you're finding it hard to concentrate, might I suggest going outside to get some air?"
Tadashi sighed, getting up from his seat and leaving the room to go out onto the campus. When he was outside, he found a bench to sit on and collected his thoughts. He hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, but the one thing he hated was when every teacher kept pointing it out. He wasn't deaf, he could hear just fine.
"Maybe coming back here wasn't such a good idea. I'm not the same man I used to be, and everything...everything just keeps piling up."
The birds chirped their songs on the fine summer's day, the sunlight beating down on Tadashi's skin and burns that he had 'earned' during a traumatic experience. The day was going a lot slower than he would have liked, and as he buried his face into his hands, he let out a hitched sob. He'd earned many names over the past few months because of bullies, the most notable being 'crybaby'.
They were right, all he ever did was cry, cry, and cry some more until he had no more tears left to give. It was heartbreaking, but if only they knew the torment he had endured five years ago, then perhaps they would come to understand why he was the way he was.
"It's tough, huh? Yeah, I can't imagine how it must feel. I know how it feels, buddy, I really do. Does the name 'crybaby' ring any bells?"
Tadashi slowly looked up, seeing a woman about his age (or maybe slightly younger) sitting on the bench next to him. He wiped his eyes, which would now be puffy and red for the next few minutes.
"I'm sorry, what? I don't get what you mean." he raised an eyebrow, confused by what the woman had said.
"I know how it must feel to deal with bullies. Is that why you're out here? You look like garbage, your eyes are all sore." she said, taking out what seemed to be a pack of tissues. "Here, it seems like you could use it."
Tadashi took a tissue, wiping his eyes which stung ever so slightly. He grimaced at the stinging touch momentarily, but got over it pretty quickly.
"T-thanks. I don't think i've seen you around here before," he said, sniffling. "Are you new here?"
The woman only laughed, shaking her head as she did so. Tadashi wasn't one hundred percent confident, but for some reason, he was getting bad vibes.
"Oh, no, no, i'm not a student here. I was just admiring how beautiful these rose bushes are, you don't see them like this anymore. I didn't realise this was a school, I probably shouldn't be here. "
Tadashi nodded, he didn't want to seem rude but he felt as if he couldn't trust the woman sitting next to him. She had a...look in her eyes that gave him warning signals, should he just stay and chat as not to get on her potentially bad side, or just run while he had the chance?
"Yeaaah," he said awkwardly, standing up and stepping back. "I've gotta head back to my class now, it was nice meeting you. But you might wanna go, since you're not actually a student the principal doesn't really like others being on campus while classes are going on. Bye."
He felt so much better when she was finally out of sight, his heart beat was slowly steadying, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that somehow the woman he had met was somewhat unhinged. He was glad to be away from her. He sighed in relief, placing his hand on his heart as he took cover behind a wall.
"That was freaky," he spoke. "who was that? She had this weird look in her eyes- it was like she was fantasising about something, something either joyful or disgusting. It doesn't matter; i'm staying away from that woman."
Unbeknownst to him, a horrid smile formed on the woman's lips, and she wiped away some saliva that had found its way onto her chin. Oh, she was going to have a lot of fun, she just knew it.

"Dude," Ted began, dragging his words out a little bit. "are you serious? That sounds so creepy. I wouldn't trust that dudette if I were you, she sounds like bad news. We gotta keep our guards up, you can't be too sure."
"That's just what I was about to say. Oh man," Zach turned slightly pale at the thought. "do you think this could be a new villain?"
"We can't be sure yet," Danika said, though even she was feeling slightly on edge. "did she say what her name was?"
Tadashi shook his head; she seemed like a completely normal girl. It was probably his paranoia getting the better of him and his imagination was playing tricks on his mind, but nowadays it was difficult to choose between the two.
"No, she acted totally casual...a little too casual. I dunno, to me it looked like she was after something, or thinking about something really disturbing. It was probably just my paranoia; we shouldn't make such a big deal out of it."
"We should still keep it in mind," Hiro suggested, putting a red lollipop in his mouth and shrugging his shoulders. "it could just be your imagination, but what if it isn't? Zach could be right, what if she is a new bad guy? Should we tell someone?"
"And who are we gonna tell? The police? Just forget I said anything, you guys." Tadashi could feel one of his knees bobbing up and down due to nervousness; it was a habit of his. He tried to hold it down before anyone could notice, but it didn't work.
"We're not telling anyone just yet, Tadashi." Honey Lemon said softly, trying to reassure him. "all we're saying is that we should keep this in mind- between us."
Tadashi could understand that, it was best if they just try to push it into the back of their minds until they were sure. Though he had the feeling that it wasn't going to be the last time he saw that girl.
Meanwhile from outside, the woman he had met on the bench smirked as she looked at her wrist watch, changing the time so that it was correct. Her hair blew gently in the summer's breeze, and as she walked down the path way, she took out a photo from her pocket and looked at the person who was outlined in a red marker circle. She quietly giggled to herself; she could only imagine how the events would turn out. She would finally get her revenge, the revenge she had been seeking for over six years. Once it was done, she could move on with her life and tick it off her list of people she had disposed of.
'I've 'taken care' of so many people during my time as an assassin. I don't enjoy doing it, I don't gain...pleasure from doing what I do, it's only for the money, I need it to pay the rent and put food on the table. But this...this will probably be the one thing that'll give me pleasure, seeing her end is all that i've ever wanted. She made my life a misery, and I won't let her do that to others. And no matter what, i'm not gonna let her hurt anyone else, she deserves everything she gets for what she's done to me...i'll make sure she never breathes again, that she goes slowly and painfully. Karma always comes back in the end.'
"I hope you're ready to see an old face, Evie, because I sure know that I am. Say hello to the Mad Hatter, the best assassin in the business. We're gonna have so much fun."
A/N: I apologise for the delay of this chapter, I was planning to post this weeks ago but I just couldn't think of a way to finish it. But it's here now and i'm so happy to finally share it. The song is Mad Hatter by Melanie Martinez.
