Tell You What
Waking up, half of Robyn's body was still draped over my torso and legs.
Not even opening my eyes yet, I smiled.
I rubbed the side of her stomach with the same hand that's been wrapped around her all night.
She moved her whole position but was still all over me, keeping my hand on her side.
I looked down to see her laying my chest, already using her phone. Damn I thought I woke up before her.
"Good morning Robyn" I mumbled tiredly. She looked back at me smiling, "morning Chris."
I laid my head my back down enjoying this little moment.
I felt her lift up off of me, stretching. Getting comfortable, she sat up beside me and threw her legs on top of mine, I put my arm over them.
"You hungry?" I asked.
"Yeah a little." She answered, leaning back on a few pillows. "What time did you get up?" "Uhm" she started off, checking the time on her phone, "like an hour or so ago."
"Aw you just wanted to cuddle with me some more how cute" I teased and she rolled her eyes. I'd do the same.
Hearing a knock on the door I grabbed Robyn's waist with both hands helping her get up real quick, since she was on me. "You can go freshen up in my bathroom, I have new toothbrushes and stuff in the drawer under the sink." She nodded walking towards the stairs.
I opened the door, "oh hold on bro" I told Trey.
He came over to pick up his laptop he left, he meant to take it last night but it was raining.
"Good lookin out. We headed to Vegas, just a little road trip" "you and ya little flings?" "Yea a few of them" he laughed. "And you need ya laptop for that?" I questioned without thinking and he raised his eyebrows a few times. "Be safe bro get out of here" I told him laughing and he was on his way.
He invited all the guys to go for the trip but I'm not in that kinda mood right now.
I jogged upstairs and used another bathroom since mine was occupied. I went back downstairs to see Robyn folding the blanket and picking up the bag of chips.
"I didn't mean to leave you with the mess I was gonna pick it up. But thank you." She shrugged "No problem."
I headed over to the kitchen, her following me.
"Pancakes?" I asked. "You can cook?" She asked hesitantly. "Best in town baby girl" I commented.
"Then yes pancakes it is, Chef Breezy"
I was going to correct the name to something else but I'll let it go for now.
I smiled to her and she went over to the fridge, grabbing the eggs out.
"No no no no no, sit down I'll cook for you" I insisted. "No I wanna help so be quiet."
I put my hands up surrendering.
Her eyes still sat a little low she looked really tired, but I know if I told her to sit back she wouldn't. This girl doesn't stop moving.
I scooped some of the mixed batter onto my finger to taste. I nodded my head in approval "it tastes good, try it" "oh no I don't like tasting my food before it's done" she scrunched up her nose a little.
"Your food? Think of it as my food then" I swiped my finger against the rim of the bowl again. "But it's mine too" "ok so only taste half of my finger what's the problem?" I laughed.
She rolled her eyes, "no I'll try it when it's done, that's gross" she said shoving me.
I shrugged, licking the batter anyways. I placed the pan over the stove, while she grabbed the butter.
"Here I wanna do it" she said happily and I slide the bowl towards her to pour.
I watched her as she laid the batter over the pan. She looked at me, showing a genuinely smile which made me happy seeing she was happy as well. I can just tell by how chunky her eyes got, she's so damn adorable.
"I like them to be really thick, my dad used to make them so perfectly, every single weekend, I'm surprised I haven't gotten tired of them yet." she laughed, reminiscing.
I didn't ask anything because I don't want to say the wrong thing being that I don't know their relationship so I smiled right along with her, just listening.
A few jokes later, the couple of pancakes were finished.
I poured her drink for her and served her.
"Here" I said patting the counter for her to take a seat on. Yes there are more than plenty of chairs in the house but you know.
She tried to get up but couldn't so I lifted her up by the waist giving her a push up. "Thanks" she breathed out.
I waited for her reaction to the pancake. "These are really good actually" she said covering her mouth and nodding in approval. "I'm glad you like them. Told you I can cook." I ate, leaning over the counter right next to her.
Grabbing both of our plates I put them in the sink and walked back towards her.
I pulled her a little close to me, her still being on the counter and the same height as me it was perfect. We were a few inches away from each other and she wrapped her arms around my neck, she kissed my cheek and rested her head on my shoulder.
I decided now would be the best time to tell her. I guess I'll be the first one to open up a bit but I know for a fact that she's not someone I'm going to be playing around with.
"Rob." "Yes?" She popped her head up quickly but we were still really close to eachother.
I can feel her soft breaths on my lips. I look down slightly watching her lips as she did the same to me. I don't know why but I pull her closer.
"Wait I have to tell you." She moved backwards a tiny bit, giving me a confused face. "What's wrong?"
I was still holding her, not planning on letting go.
"Listen I uhm. I don't want to do this" her confusion turned into sadness very quickly. "If you don't want the same thing I do. I'll tell you why later on. But I don't want to have the rug pulled out from under me again. I know I sound like a little bitch but I don't." I said honestly.
"No, Chris. I do want this. I really do. I do want to get to know you better but I'm really busy and-"
"Right" I sighed, moving my hands from her waste to the sides of her.
"But I do want this." She said holding my chin up to look at me.
I smiled and kissed her nose.
I didn't know how I was going to give into it but I was going to try.
A few hours later, after Rihanna went home to get ready for a few things she had to do, it's 3pm.
Reading my new message I laughed. Smirking to myself as I saw;
I know I'm a kind of a day late... but is tonight okay for the dinner?
