Robyn's POV
"Why do you think you're so much stronger than me?" I question my little brother obnoxiously.
We all fell asleep for about an hour and woke up with my energy than anything. We made our way downstairs so we won't be crowded up, Now Liam is trying to fight me.
"Because I am stronger than you!" He laughs hysterically. He charges at me but I spin around and push him down on the carpet. "No you aren't." I shrug.
I pretend to be tired and he picks himself up to run to be. He tried to tackle me but he comes up a little over my belly button so that doesn't work. "Come on! That's all you got?" I tease.
We play fight for a few more minutes until Em laughs loudly after watching the whole thing.
We pause as I take notice to Emma who is sitting by Chris's side with a hand wrapped around her. "What are you laughing at?" I ask with a forced angry look on my face. "Huh? What's so funny?" I ask Emma while tickling her stomach a bit before letting her breathe. Chris laughs at the both of us.
Em looks up at Chris then back to me and starts giggling again. "She loves you so much." I laugh, a joyful feeling floods over my body. "I lobe you too Emmy." Chris says in a baby voice and kisses her hair.
I frown a bit seeing the way he interacts with children. You can just see in his eyes that nothing else matters other than being in the moment. You see all the love flowing out of him as he watches them and speaks to them. You can see this all just from a few hours and they aren't even his own children.
Is this what he really wants? I don't want to hold him back for any reason but I'm far from finding it in my own wants to have any.
All of my experiences with kids have been horrible. Yes they're enjoyable but when it comes to actually taking care of them, I always fail.
I want myself to want to have them but it's just something I feel like I can't control.
Of course It's okay for me to not have kids, the world is way over populated as is but I don't feel it's best for Chris. If we're headed for the long run. I can't hold someone back from loving a child of their own.
I don't know what I'm going to do at all but we still have time.
"What do you guys want for dinner?" Chris asks us as Liam and I plop ourselves on the couch next to him. "Uhm....pizza?" Liam suggests.
"You eat pizza all the time at the house." I argue. "I haven't had it in forever, right Em?" Liam looks at the baby but she's too busy scratching at Chris's beard. "What do you want to eat?" He asks her but she gurgles not making any real words out.
"How about you, princess?" He kisses my cheek and I lay my head on his chest, he throws his arm around my body pulling me close. "Uh I don't know, you can order pizza if you want." I shrug.
"Can you pass me my phone please?" Chris asks Liam and he looks around his sides but can't find it. "Oh I'm sitting on it." He laughs. "It's warm! I farted a lot sorry." He starts giggling and hands Chris his phone.
"It's hot." Chris scrunches up his face. "Here you order, dooky butt." He dials the number and tells Liam what to say.
About 45 minutes later, we're all at the dinner table, Emma in between my legs.
A knock on the door and Chris stands, "oh that should be my mom, babe." I take another bite of my pizza.
"Hey, come right in." Chris widens the door for my mom. "Thank you, Chris." She says sternly and enters the house. "You have a very lovely home, Chris." She takes a look around the house.
"Hi my babies." She smiles at all three of us. She kisses Liam on the head since he's eating and takes Emma from my hold. I stand to give her a kiss. "Thank you for watching them Robyn. I got extremely busy." She thanks me and moves the hair out of Em's face.
"You know I don't mind. Chris helped so much. They like him a lot, thankfully." Chris and I share a smile between us two.
"Oh thank you Chris for letting them stay here for a few hours in your home. That's very generous of you, I appreciate it." She tells Chris, to my surprise.
I genuinely appreciate her saying this to him because the first time they met it wasn't too good.
I'm happy Chris gets to see this side of her. Sometimes she's down my throat and then she's inviting me out to dinner.
Lately it's been pretty light between us. A few months back around the time Chris and I got together I was super stressed out because of her. Crying every night, I just felt really depressed. But I'm better now and I'm loving our current relationship.
"Well actually I moved in not too long ago, I think I forgot to mention it to you." I slip into the conversation so Chris doesn't think I was trying to hide anything from her.
"oh really?" She asks with a small fake smile plastered on her face. I nod, "yes." I answer simply.
"Well that's great to hear. Listen we have to get going, did you bring a jacket?" She asks Liam and he shakes his head no.
Chris brings over the baby's bag for her. "Oh that's how you made it through the day, Chris is the one that has a way with kids, you've never had that." She laughs to herself and I blush in embarrassment.
"No, she was actually great with them today, I really don't know what I'm doing anyways." Chris steps in laughing with her.
I smile to myself and Chris nods slightly to me. "Yea I'm sure." My mom says sarcastically but as if the conversation isn't important.
"Well I'll see you guys later. Give me a kiss." I tell Emma and I kiss her cheek and forehead as I did with Liam. She holds her hands out for Chris to take her and he holds both of her hands, placing a kiss on her forehead instead so they won't be held up.
She starts to whine for him sadly and he frowns. "Okay let's go drama queen." My mom rolls her eyes playfully.
She wasn't being dramatic, she just loves him.
As they leave the house, Chris comes over to me, placing a kiss on my lips. "I don't like the way she talks about you." He tells me truthfully. "Yeah it's okay though at least I'm not living with her." I shrug.
"No. You were amazing with the kids today. You made them laugh all day, made sure they weren't hungry, made sure they were being entertained and took enough time to relax themselves. You did everything right so please don't let her discourage you, baby girl." Chris kisses my head as I blush.
"Thank you baby boy." I hold his cheeks in my hands.
"Mhm. Are you done?" He asks and I nod my head then he closes the pizza box. "Now for you my love. Join me in the shower? Let me return the favor for the other night?" He smirks.
"How was it by the way?" I laugh. "You're so annoying Robyn you know it was good." He burst out into small laughs, hiding his face in my neck. "Oh yeah?" I lower my voice and he nods. He wraps his arms around me and picks me up, walking towards the stairs.
I let out a small giggle as he squeezes my butt.
"I love you."
"I love you too baby." I smile.
"And I can't wait to take you down." He laughs and I do as well. "Oh, God...."
