Robyn Fenty
After this morning, Robyn despised the idea of staying home without Chris. So she headed over to a friends house to work on her album. Trying to clear her mind of him."Been waiting on that sunshine boy I think I need that back." I sing.
"I think we should slow it down a bit. Listen." He says playing the beat over. "Been waiting on that sunshine boy I think I need that back." The words roll off of his tongue smoothly.
"Okay I like that. Then speed the beat up a little right after." I jot down a few notes as Z messes with the keys.
"How do you like this?" He nudges my leg and begins playing on the piano. Getting lost in the way his fingers touch the keys, I close my eyes listening to the rest of song.
Being in the studio since early this morning, I try to get the big argument out of my head. Distraction after distractions just isn't working.
"Can you relax already?" Z laughs. "What?" I furrow my eyebrows. "You're so tense, what's wrong? You're going to have to go over the chorus 7 more times if you don't relax your voice now."
Working with Z has always been a breeze, music is his passion as well as mine so it flows easily.
"Just boy problems." I water it down with a laugh. "Just that? You wanna talk about it?" He puts his pen down. "No it's fine, I don't want to even think about it."
"You have to relax some how."
Hearing my phone ring, I pull it out of my purse to see Chris texted me. Also feeling my heart race like crazy, Z takes the phone from my hands gently and sets it on top of the piano out of my reach.
"Don't think about him then." He looks into my eyes then glares away. "Do you want a drink?" He asks. "Sure."
Walking over to his mini fridge, he pulls out a water and I nod happily feeling dehydrated.
"Needed this." I tell him as he takes the cap off.
"Cheers." He says. "To finally pressing play on working on the second half of your album."
Leave the studio, the sun blares over my body making me groan tiredly.
While driving I feel my heart pick up pace and I press my foot harder on the pedal trying to get home but I know it's a long way to go.
Needing to slow down because it's already 9:30 so it's dark, I feel the sweats take over me and my vision start to fog making me want to freak out like crazy.
I pull over, not even having my mind straight. Not even knowing if Chris is in LA yet but I call him anyways.
"Where are you?" I ask before he can say hello. "Home. You'd know that if you were to answer-"
"I need you to pick me up Chris I can't drive. I'm freaking out I'm about to have an anxiety attack."
"What? Where are you?"
"I don't know Chris. I don't know where I am I can't even see the street sign. I can't think." I say feeling my vision blur beside the tears. "It's too hot, you know I don't do good in heat." I ramble on needing him with me right now.
"I know, I know. Do you have any water with you? Turn the ac on and lean your chair back." He says and I try not to cry even more than I already am.
"Chris." I whine. "I'm going to pass out."
"Mama you're okay. I'm going to be there soon, I have your location on my phone now." He tells me. "Stalker." I say wiping my tears.
