Baby

Cooking a meal for date night with my baby, I haven't seen her in a little over a week. I've been in and out of the city but finally back and ready to see Robyn.

"Baby!" I hear Robyn sing at the top of her lungs while entering my home.

I smile, missing the sound of her voice. I wait for her to get in the kitchen, following the loud noise of the fan over the stove.

"Chris! My baby!" She yells excitedly and runs to me, hugged me tightly from behind making me laugh. "Hi princess." I say quietly with a smile.

"What's wrong?" She asked kissing my back. "My head is pounding." I answer. I set the top on the pot and turn around, "I missed you." I squeeze her tightly as she did the same. "I missed you so much more."She says happily.

I lean down and peck a kiss on her lips repeatedly until she pulls my head closer to slips her tongue into my mouth.

I raise my hand to go behind her ear deepening the kiss. "Mm." I moan into her mouth missing her so badly.

"I love you." I tell her as she breaks the kiss. "I love you too." She cheeses. "Not as much as I love youuu." I shake my head and kiss her cheek.

"Okay okay" she giggles cutely, "do you need help with anything?" She asks, looking at the stove. "Nope, almost done. Thank you, princess." I smile, staring at her.

I wrap my arms around her neck and lay the side of my head on top of hers, "baby I'm tired." I tell her closing my eyes for a second.

"I'm going to use your shower really fast if you don't mind, it's so muggy out today. My sweat is all dried up." She balls up her face. "Go ahead, dinner will be ready when you come down." I kiss her nose making her smile.

Within a few minutes the food is now finished early.

I serve both of our plates and lay them on the table. Pouring some whine in her glass and mine as well, I then search for a lighter and turn on the candles trying out a romantic mood.

My head pounding, I push my plate a few inches away from me so I can rest my head. I try to stay awake until Robyn's finished in the shower but I can't help myself.

"Baby, are you okay?" I feel a kiss on my neck and a hand rubbing over the back on my head. I take a sharp deep breath and lift me head. "Mhm." I nod and she kisses my cheek.

"You sure? I only took ten minutes, or were you just that tired?" Robyn frowns while holding my face in her hands. "Very tired. Today was so long." I stand and she moved backwards a few steps.

"Do you mind telling me all about it?" She gave me a warm smile while asking. I pull her chair out for her and she sits down, pushing me away as if I didn't even have to do it.

"I had to get out of work late for no reason because I was waiting for my meeting but nobody wanted to tell me that it was canceled until 45 minutes later making me get stuck in traffic since it was 5. I couldn't even sleep last night, nothing was on my mind I just couldn't sleep and I had to get up at 4am." I suck my teeth remembering all the bad thats happened today as I went on with my rambling.

"What else?" Robyn asks, her chin resting on her hand, watching me.

"Uh my mom called earlier about how sorry my aunt was but I was too tired to start that conversation." I roll my eyes. "But at least." I shrug.

"I'm just happy you're home now and you can get some rest. And you need to call your mom back Chris, that's family stuff." She holds my hand. "I am, I just don't want to deal with that right now. I don't want anything like that to slip her mouth again." I tell her truthfully. I love Robyn, It's hard knowing the one that was bringing her down was my family member.

"As much as I didn't like it, she's your family at the end of the day. I just want you to be happy and at peace with what you have going on now." She smooths her thumbs over the back of my hands. "You're my family, I have to look out for your wellbeing too, Robyn." I spoke.

"F-family?" She blushes with a small smile and I nod hesitantly. "I just mean I have to make sure you're okay with everything too, so yes. My family. That's okay with you?" I smile and she looks away then back at me nodding, "of course. Just try to get around to them sometime this week please?" She folds her hands and flips her bottom lip over.

"I will, honey." I stand a bit to kiss her across the table. "Okay let's pray, I'm starving." I laugh remembering we have a whole meal to eat.

After a few minutes of comfortable silence she talks, "So maybe you can have your aunt over for dinner so you can talk?" She suggests. "We." I correct her. "I know she's a big part of your life, I just want you to make up."

"Yeah I'll figure that out later. Thank you very much, princess." I tell her and she nods, letting it go for now.

"So baby, I was thinking..." I grab her hand in mine. "Hm?" She hums, setting her fork down giving me all of her attention. "I want to move in together." I spill.

"Oh really?" She asks not changing her expression.

"Baby we saw each other twice this whole month, I just want to be around you more." I spoke and she blushes. "With us living together" I intertwine our fingers, "we'll go to sleep together and wake up next to each other." I smile.

"Every single day." She says dreamily, resting her chin on her hand, staring at me. "Mhm." I kiss her nose, "and I get to see you everyday."

"Okay...I like the sound of this." She beams. "Okay so will you, Robyn" I get down on one knee dramatically, "allow us to move in together?" I smile.

"I mean, of course!" She laughs and leans down to give me a kiss. "Good, I love you, honey."

"I love you too, baby." She giggles. "Okay when are we doing this?" Robyn asks excitedly, holding my hands while I pull her into my lap.

"I actually didn't know what your answer was going to be so I didn't think that far." I admit. "So are you moving in with me or me with you?" She looks into my eyes and I shake my head.

"We'll start looking for a new place baby, it's going to be our first home together we need to make it, us." I rub her thigh.

"Aw man" she huffs, "that's gonna be forever, Chris." She whines. "And until then, would you like to move in here?" I motion towards the rest of my house.

"Mhm." She hums happily nodding quickly. Her eyes crinkle up and I kiss her cheek. "I'm so happy right now you don't understand." I grab her face into my hands and kiss her lips.

"I could cry." She says and I stare into her watery eyes.

"Did I tell you how adorable you look?" I rub her thighs on my lap, looking at her pajama long pants with my t shirt. She pays my words no attention and continues to stare into my eyes. "Can't wait." She smiles happily and I shake my head, "neither can I."
