Jerk

chapter one

"JENN WAKE UP!!" i heard my mom yell. i groan and got up. "yes mom?" i said stretching, i see my mom walk up the stairs. "jenn we're almost leaving, the moving truck is outside. bring your things down!" she said. i nodded, i walk back in my room. well now my old room, let me introduce myself before i forget.

hi my name is Jenn Lawley, i am 17. i live in New York but we're moving to California bc my father recently passed away. my mom wanted to leave New York to forget about everything although she wont. she wanted a fresh start.

i have a twin brother, his name is Kian Lawley. hes older than me by two minutes. we both were born on August 19. when our father passed away it was really hard for me since we had a very special relationship. kian was there for me when it happened. your probably wondering how did he pass?

my dad was a police officer, one day someone was robbing a bank, and the man he tried to handcuffs shot my dad twice. my dad died at the scene.

enough about my dad before i end up in tears. i had one close friend here, i never really had a bestfriend. i had friends but no one i can tell my feelings too.

i finished bring my things down to the truck, i walked back up to my room to see a last glance of it. i grab my handbag and my laptop with my phone.  i walk out my room to see kian walking down the stairs.

we bought three plane tickets to go to California, once everything was in the truck the truck began to leave. my mom wanted to leave every furniture here. my mom also has a pretty good job that pays great. she didn't want to show us the house bc it was a surprise.

our cab finally comes, we all pile in the cab. "mom what is gonna happen when we get there, we wont have our clothes??" i asked. "i flew to California a while back to prepare the house, i got you guys some new clothes so they'll be there." she smiled. i nodded.

i lay my head on kians shoulder. "we can do this together" he said kissing my forehead. i nod and smile.

we arrive at the airport and start to run towards our plane before its to late. we give the lady our tickets after being checked by security.

my seat was with kian and my mom. we all wanted to be together, I got window seat, kian in the middle and my mom on the edge.

the plane starts to go up and i just stare out the window. I slowly fall back asleep.

i feel someone shaking me. "jenn wake up we're here!" kian said. i groaned and picked up my bag and got up. i head put the plane and walked out with my mom and kian.

"alright so a can is going to pick us up" mom said. we both nodded and waited for the cab.

after a while the can arrives and we get in. after about a 15 minute drive we arrived at this huge mansion. "mom is this house??"Kian asked. she nods and me and kian look at each other. we quickly get out the car. this has three floors. my mom unlocks the door and we all got in.

"omg this is so beautiful!" i said. the hosue was already decorated. "well of course you know i love to decorate. i smile, "kian your room is on the third floor, technically that whole floor is yours. jenn your room is on the second floor and same goes to you, its your floor, and my room is down here." she smiled.

"can we go see our rooms" Kian said. she nodded and both me and kian ran up the stairs.

i walk in to my room. i had a queen size bed which has all white covers and grayish pillows. I walk to the side which had a window seat, a makeup table full of makeup up beside it. it has a walk in closet with a bunch of clothes. my mom said some, but it was alot. i walk into my own bathroom. which had my shampoo and conditioner, everything a bathroom needs.

my room had a small office, which I begged for, for the longest. I slowly lay my laptop on the desk that had some of my things.

my mom walks in smiling. she sits on my bed, " do you like it?" she asked. "i love it!" i hugged her tightly. "im glad you liked it, you know how you said you need a new phone since your still with the iphone 5? well here is your new phone. your father wanted to get you a new one." she said handing me a Iphone 6s plus, rose gold.

I squealed in excitement. "thank you so much!!" i hug her. "also since i know you love shopping, hear is your new credit card." she handed it to me.

i smile and hug her again, "now lets see what Kian is going to do when he sees his surprise." she laughs and chuckle.

i start to put all my contacts into my phone download all my apps i use.

i decided to some online shopping. after a while i finished. i walked into my  closet to change. i pick my calvin klein spors bra and my nike sweats. my room was pretty cold so i walk up the stairs to kians room.

"kian can I borrow a sweater my room is cold" i asked him. "yeah theyre in the closet and why cant you use yours?" he asked, "yours are softer." I chuckled.

i put his sweater on. "well goodnight we have along day tomorrow since my mom decided to move in a week before school starts. and apparently theres like an open house tomorrow." I sighed.

"alright but jenn can you sleep here, I want you to be first person to sleep here, not in the nasty way bc your my twin sister but bc i know your not okay about the move. your making it out to be like your okay." he said. i sighed and laid next to him.

he kisses my forehead and we both fall asleep.
