chapter forty nine

its been a week. a full week, since jack left. i've been home ever since he left, jack never called or texted. i tried calling him and texting him but he never answers.

right now i'm sitting on the couch with Nicole in my arms, she's getting bigger she's almost turning one.

which is in four months, my baby will be one. wow. as i was watching tv i see my phone turn on to see a phone call.

it was kian, i answered. "hello?" i said. "hey jenn." he said.

"hi kian." i said. "what are you doing?" he asked. "what i've been doing all week. sitting down with Nicole, why?" i asked. "you know how its moms birthday this week?" he said.

"yeah what about it?" i asked. "i want to make a party for her." kian said. "yeah that sounds good, hope you guys have a good one, bye." i said.

"hey hey no. your gonna help me plan this party." kian said. "kian im not in the mood for partying." i said.

"well to bad." he said. i groan, "fine we gotta go to Party City first. ill get dressed, want me to pick you up or?" i said. "i'll pick you up." he said.

"okay bye." i said.

"okay Nicole, lets get dressed." i smiled. she giggled.

i picked her up and brought her to her room. most of her things were already packed up except for a couple of things.

i quickly dressed her, once she was ready i put her in her walker and put a couple toys on it. i got in the shower and quickly showered, once i finished i did my hair and changed.

once i was ready i grabbed Nicole's bag and stroller, i called kian and told him i was ready. we waited for ten minutes until he came.

kian called and told me he was outside. i put Nicole on my hip, also holding my bag and her bag and the stroller.

i got in the elevator and went outside. once ieft the building i saw kian.

i put Nicole in the back and then i sat in the front. "don't you look cute" kian laughed. "kian i've been in sweats and t shirt all week. i needed to look decent if i was going out." i said.

"have you been on your phone?" kian asked. "not really just if someone called me. which one did." i shrugged.

kian sighed. "how is he? is he happy?" i asked. "he came home that night crying. but lately he looks happy. every time i see him he's on his phone smiling." kian shrugged.

is he already talking to someone? if he's moved on, so should i.

i nodded, "you know he hasn't once visit Nicole?" i said. "what the fuck he said yesterday he was coming to see Nicole." kian said.

"she already knows how say mama and dada. she always looks at me and says dada." i said. "ill speak to him." kian said.

"don't force him to do anything, he's a dad and he should know that his only daughter will be asking about him." i said.

i didn't want to talk about this topic, im becoming a single mother.

once we got to Party City, kian got a cart while i pushed Nicole's stroller. My mom is turning 38, pretty young right. she was 20 when she had me and kian, she didn't even know she was having twins because kian was hiding so they say.

we were going through the decorations, picking things mom would like. "i think we should add a candy bar." kian said. "why there won't be any little kids?" i said.

"yeah i called moms sisters, they both have kids of there own." kian said. "oh yeah, that's fine." i said.

we pass by the candy section and grabbed all types of candy.

once we bought everything and left, we went to orders cake.

since mom loves Icecream we wanted to get a icecream cake. we went to dunkin' donuts.

we got out and when inside. we were looking at the flavors and asked someone for help.

kian and i decided on pralines and cream, with a pink floral design. as we placed the order a bunch of guys came in.

"okay is there anything else i can help you with?" the lady asked. "yes please, may i have a caramel ice coffee with whipped cream. what about you kian?" i asked. "same thing please." kian said.

"what size?" she asked. "large for both" kian said. "okay that'll be $107.88" she said. i take my card out and paid. "can i also have a name for the order?" she said. "yes, its Jenn."

your probably wondering why so much we'll the cake is huge we ordered.

kian said he was going to wait in the car while i got the drinks. once he left, as i was walking the lady stopped me. " it'll take about 10 minutes" she said. i nodded.

i went and sat down and put Nicole on my lap. as i was texting kian to tell him it'll be 10 minutes one of the guys came and sat in front of me.

he was pretty cute. "hey." he smiled. i smiled back, "hello." i said.

"is weird that i think your really beautiful?" he said. "no why?" i laughed. "because some girls think it's weird or creepy to have a guy come up to them and compliment them." he chuckled.

"no its completely fine, but thank you." i smiled. "you are we different then most girls." he said. "what do you mean." i asked.

"i don't know. you just are, in good way." he smiled. "so what are you doing here by yourself with you daughter?" he said.

"oh i'm not by myself, my brother is in the car waiting for our drink." i said. "what ahout the babies dad? if you don't mind me asking." he said.

"oh its fine, we're not together anymore." i shrugged. "this guy must be really stupid i mean look at you." he winked. i blushed and looked down.

"Jenn" the lady said. "oh that's me." i said getting up, he got up also. "well jenn, im jake, jake miller." he smiled.

"im jenn, jenn lawley." i smiled. "is there a chance i can get your number?" he asked nicely. "yeah." i smiled.

i gave him my number and walked to get my drinks. "bye" i waved. i walked out and saw kian waiting. "nicole !! did you see him?! he's beautiful." i said.

i get a text,

unknown number: hey its jake :)

i smiled and got in the car. "why are you smiling? who's texting you?"kian asked.

"no one." i said. i gave kian his drink and texted jake.

and that's when we started a conversation.

"jenn is it okay if we have the party at your new house?" kian said. "sure" i said.

"i move in tomorrow so yeah it fine." i said. kian nodded, "were going to the house okay." kian said.

i groan, i looked back to see Nicole already sleeping. once we got there i got nicole out and her bag out, then helped kian with the bags.

we got inside, all the guys were in the living room. i softy said hi, because Nicole was asleep. i put her in her nursery room, i change her into her pjs and put her in crib.
