chapter fifty five

*one week later, Saturday.*

a couple days ago jack and johnson's new album came out. it's truly amazing, im in love with the songs.

tonight we're having a dinner for them at a venue with everyone. but right now i'm changing Nicole out of her pjs. she's almost a one, she's starting to crawl more also trying to stand up on her own.

as i was changing Nicole, jack walked in with a smile on his face. "good morning babe and baby girl." he smiled. "im just happy in life right now." he said.

"i am too" i kissed his cheek. "i love you" he said. "i love you more."

once nicole was dressed up i took her downstairs to eat. to see everyone downstairs. "how did i not hear you guys come in?" i laughed.

"babe can you give Nicole her breakfast?" i asked jack. i was cleaning up the kitchen and the living room which once i looked at the time it was already 2pm. the dinner is at 5pm so i decided to get ready.

i first take a shower, washing my hair and body. once i was done i put my hair up to dry, then brushed my teeth.

then i put my clothes on. i was wearing a romper with nude heels. once i put my clothes on i decided to put my makeup on. 

after doing my make up i blow dried my hair and curled it. as i was looking at my hair i wanted to dye it back to light brown.

finally i was finished with everything and went downstairs.

"hey guys" i said. "wow you look beautiful" jack said. i smiled at him and kissed his cheek.

"we should start heading out" matt said. we all nodded and started to pile out. i ran upstairs to grab nicole's bag and went to the kitchen to grab her bottle. once i was done i put the alarm on and went outside.

matt and hayes were coming in our car. kian was driving his car to pick mom up and Chad.

we were all going to meet there, as i was looking outside i was realizing how much i missed have a girl bestfriend. after everything i don't know if my "friends" that are girl are even trustworthy.

i've been hanging out with the guys a lot, which i don't mind their like my brothers but i  need a girl bestfriend to gossip with.

once we got there jack took Nicole out and everyone got out. we got inside the venue, which wasn't that big bc we didn't want to go overboard. it was decorated by the people who work at the venue.

it was a long table that fit all of us. i was sitting in between jack and ethan.

once everyone was seated they asked what we wanted to drink. after getting our drinks we all started talking to each other. "hey jenn are gonna have a party for Nicole's birthday?" kylie asked. "of course, its going to be a big party for her bc my baby is turning one". i said.

"we're all invited right?" stassie said. "of course you guys are her aunts and uncles!" i smiled. "and grandma" my moms chuckled. we all laughed and contained talking.

after a while our food came and we all ate. everyone was done eating so we all decided to start taking pictures.

jack and i were taking some real cute pictures. my favorite one was when he kissed my cheek and my hand was on his face whilst smiling.

we all finished taking photos and decided we would go spend time at the house. we wanted to start a fire outside so we can roast marshmallows.

everyone went home to change into more comfortable clothes and so did we. I changed into one of my leggings with one of jacks sweaters but I put on a sports bra under incase I was hot.

I put Nicole in her unicorn one piece pajamas. Jack came into the room wearing shorts and t-shirt.

"She looks so cute" jack cooed. I smiled and picked her up.

"Babe can you watch Nicole while I get everything ready?" I asked jack. He nodded, he took Nicole and went into the living room downstairs.

I followed behind but into the kitchen. I went to the pantry to see if we had marshmallows, which we did.

I took them out and poured them in a bowl. I took out some water bottles and soda cans.

"Babe they're here" jack said. I nodded and went to open the door.

They all came in and sat down on the couch. "Who's gonna start the fire?" I asked. "I am" cameron said.

I nodded and started talking to matt. "Hey I invited one of guy friends, is that okay?" Matt asked. "Yeah of course." I smiled.

Then I heard the doorbell so I went to open it. Im guessing it was Matthews friend bc I've never seen him before. "Hi, I'm Austin, Matthews friend." He said looking at me up and down. "Oh hi, I'm Jenn." I smiled.

"Come in, we aren't doing much we just wanted to roast marshmallows and chill" I chuckled. "Cool" he smiled.

We both walked in, well he was behind me. Jack was looking at us, with a confused face. I looked away and sat back down with matt.

"I'm sure you guys have met" matt laughed. I nodded. "Hey I'm gonna go talk to jack real quick." I said.

I got up and went to sit next to jack. He didn't look at me, all he did was look at his phone. "Are you seriously mad?" I said. "who is he?" he said dryly. "matt's friend." i said. he nodded.

i look over at matthew bc he was laughing really loud, so i laughed also. "let's start roasting the marshmallows" i said to jack. he nodded and smiled. as i was going to kiss his cheek i saw austin starring at us

after i kissed jack i picked up Nicole and went to grab the marshmallows and went outside.

once the fire was on, we all sat around it and talked amongst ourselves.
