chapter fifty four

"when did he propose?" kian said "today." i said "Jack i thought you were going to do something special?" kian said. "you knew?"i said. "of course he had to ask for my permission." kian said. "mom told me the day we broke up i thought he was gonna hold off for a while." i sighed.

"it doesn't matter how he did it, I'm happy that I'm engaged." i smiled. jack smiled, "sorry that i didn't get your permission matt." jack said. "if jenn is happy then i am." matt said.

"well when is the wedding!" hayes said. "we haven't figured that out, i mean he proposed literally an hour before you guys came" i chuckled. "ill be back," i said. jack wanted to hold to Nicole so i can get food.

i grabbed two tacos and went to the dining table. i saw that grayson, i think thats his name, was gone. "hey what happened to your brother?" i asked ethan. "he needed air." he said. i nodded. weird but okay.

as i was eating everyone was talking. "babe can i use your phone? i left mine in my room i think." i chuckled. he handed me his phone, i saw a picture of nicole and i. i put my finger print, luckily it was there. i went to his calls to call my mom. "hey mom are you busy?" i asked. we haven't hung out since her birthday party. she loved it, she cried when she cut her cake but other than that she had an amazing time.

"no honey, im just with Chad and Amber." she said. "would you like to come over? i cooked tacos for the guys." i said. "you haven't made tacos since the night before you father.." she said.

"i know that dad would love to have all of us as a family eating his favorite meal." i sighed. "alright sweetie we'll be there in ten minutes." she said.

i hung up and handed jack his phone. "mom coming." i said to kian. "does she know?" kian asked. "nope." i said.

he nodded. "so guys." i said. "what do you wanna do?" i asked. "anything." hayes said.

"how bout we have a water gun/balloon fight?!" matt said. "HECK YEAH." i said. "woah to excited there." jack said. "i'd watch your back if i were you because im coming after you." i winked at jack.

"its on babe." he chuckled. "aye wait i don't have extra close" nash said, the guys nodded. "how bout after my mom comes you guys can go get some while i go buy the things" i suggested. "yeah, i'll go with you." ethan said.

"um okay." i nervously smiled.

once my mom came we explained to her what we're up to and she told us that kian told her already so she had already boughten amber her clothes.

"also, jack proposed today in the morning!" i said. "no way! he finally did it!! YAY" she cheered. she hugged me and jack.

"alright lets celebrate by having a water gun/balloon fight!" hayes cheered.

"we'll pick teams once everyone is back home." i said. "here are the rules. if you were shot or got hit by a balloon you have to wait till someone from your team comes and tags you." kian instructed. we all nodded and went out separate way.

"ethan you coming?" i asked. "yeah i'm just waiting for gray." he said. "do you want me to stop by your place or something?" i asked. "yes please." ethan said.

Nicole was staying with jack. "alright just put your address in my map." i said handing him my phone.

once he did he handed me my phone and we left. "so where are you guys from?" i asked. "New Jersey." grayson said. oh he talks.

"are you guys getting use to the different weather?" i chuckle. "yeah we actually like it here, but we do sorta miss Jersey." ethan chuckled. "yeah there can be those days where it's super hot or just warm." i smiled.
