REVISION COMPLETED: 3/5/2025

Oh, boy, this one took a long time. I experienced a bit of writer's block and was very busy with college, so I'm glad I finished it. In this chapter, we're pretty much going through my new timeline, which will be used as a setup for the first major plot point since Lucy's arrival. Enjoy~

"Hey, guys!" I turned my attention away from Jellal to see Levy running toward us.

"Good morning, Levy!" I greeted her as she caught up. "What's got you in a rush? And where are the other girls?"

"Oh, Erza had a committee meeting earlier and Lisanna and Kinana had morning practice. I think Juvia and Wendy are still trying to get Cana out of bed, haha." She giggled, reaching into her bag. "Anyway, I wanted to catch you to give you this!"

In Levy's hand was a pink envelope. And if I know my stereotypes, it was definitely a love letter. I could hear Jellal start to cough on his own air, "L-Levy?? You... I didn't know you swung this way..."

"Huh...? Oh, god, no! Someone left it outside our dorm with instructions to deliver it to you before homeroom!" She exclaimed, shoving the letter in my hand. But with a sly grin, she began to laugh. "You know, for a smart guy, you're kind of stupid."

"Hey! Anyone would think the same thing."

"Or maybe you just don't like the idea of competition~"

"Compe- What the hell are you rambling about, Lev?!"

"Oh, you know~" I rolled my eyes when Levy clung to my arm and began pulling me forward. "Come on, Lu~ Let's go to homeroom together!"

"Uh.. okay?" I chuckled out as we somehow began sprinting to our class. Honestly, it was kind of nice to see Levy and Jellal finally acting like friends. Before, it just felt like they were separately hanging out with me at the same time. But now, it's like we're our own little friend group!

Levy and I immediately sat down in our usual spot. There were only a few people, as usual, so Levy had turned to me with curious eyes. "Well? Open it! See what it says!"

"I don't know... What if that person is in the room with us?" I whispered, surveying the area for any suspicious people. "That would be like, really embarrassing for them..."

"Hm... it doesn't seem like anyone's even paying attention.... I highly doubt it's any of them." She grinned after doing her own search. "Come on, Luuuu I'm dying here!"

It didn't take me long to give in. I was curious to hear what this mysterious person had to say. I opened the envelope and pulled out a handmade card. "Well now, someone's very artistic," I chuckled to myself. When I opened it, a little heart popped out.

"What's it say? What's it sayyyyy?" I gently pushed Levy away as she began leaning further into me. Just as I was about to read it, Jellal and Rogue had finally entered. But they didn't take their seats. Rather, they immediately flocked to us. "Just in time, guys! Lu's about to read the letter!"

"Hold on. Is it an actual confession letter? Like seriously?" Jellal asked, seemingly surprised as I nodded. "No fucking way. Does it say who it is?"

"Uh... nope. Just 'your secret admirer.' Jeez, what a cliche move," I chuckled before reading it out loud. "'To the beloved Lucy Heartfilia. I hope this letter reaches you at the right moment. Ever since you transferred, I've found myself fixated on you. Though you don't know who I am, please accept my adoration and fill your heart with the warmth you deserve.' I... I cannot believe someone genuinely writes like this. Like is this some poor prank?"
