Piper hadn't slept all night.
She'd been up making solangelo T-shirts. She'd been stuck in her room for days. Her coffee was out, and pop cans littered the room like trash on the streets, or leaves on the forest floor.
Today was no better. She looked outside. "Oh," was all she muttered when she noticed it was suddenly brighter outside. The sun was making beautiful colors burst in the sky, making Piper smile tiredly.
Her eyelids drifted up and down, threatening to close. She shook herself awake. She marched to the bathroom, wincing as her feet hit the cold hard tile of the floor.
She turned on the faucet, sighing, and splashed some water on her face. Looking in the mirror, Piper hardly recognized herself. She looked strange, and bleak in her reflection.
Yawning, she took a quick shower, and threw on her regular camp clothes, before marching out the door, wincing as she was met with bright morning light.
She cursed.
Jason was suddenly next to her. "Hey Pipes! It's breakfast. You're late again."
He looked nice, but she wasn't focused on him. She was more focused on Nico, who was trying to escape the infirmary, looking like he hated the world.
She tried to see more, but the sun miraculously moved at the last moment, blinding her.
Piper groaned. "Why you do this to me, Apollo?!" Jason squinted at her suspiciously. "Did you sleep last night...?"
She growled. "Does it look like I did???"
He rolled his eyes. "C'mon. Let's get you something to eat."
Later....
"Pipes, come on! Tell me what's with you! You're acting so strange today."
Jason looked concerned. They were sitting on a bench by the basketball court. Piper was getting strange looks by the passing demigods--to which she replied to with, "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT???"
No one bothered her again.
She looked at Jason. His blue eyes studied her's with concern. "Solangelo," she said simply.
He blinked. "What?"
Piper scowled. "Honestly, Jace! Percy is supposed to be the seaweed brain!"
He blinked again. "You mean...Nico and that Solace kid...? Right?"
Piper smiled slightly. "Finally!"
He looked at her curiously. "That's what's been eating you up?"
She shoved a bunch of papers at him. He read them. He was crying when he was done.
She'd just given him a sad solangelo fan-fiction.
.....
Jason was behind the bush with a camera.
Piper rushed into the infirmary. She burst in, placing a carefully crafted horrified expression on her face. "Will!" She called. The blonde boy looked up. "It's Nico! He's hurt!"
Will looked shocked. "B-b-but I told him not to leave?!"
Piper tugged on his arm. "No time to discuss!"
She led him to a clearing. Nico was on the ground. He'd just been in a fight, to which Piper had decided to use to her advantage.
He was scratched up a little. Just minor stuff.
Will raced over. "What happened? Are you hurt? Did you use your powers?!?!" He started inspecting the wound on Nico's arm.
Piper giggled nervously. Nico was just in a fight with a sea monster in the lake.
He wasn't breathing.
Jason poked his head out from the bushes. "I think he needs CPR!"
"B-but--" Will stuttered.
"DO IT!" Piper's eye twitched.
Will bent down, and kissed Nico. Well--it was CPR--but that's not the point!
Jason snapped a photo.
Will sat up as Nico started coughing up water. Will looked flustered.
Nico sat up, wiping his mouth. "What happened...?"
Jason looked animated, eyes wide and joyous. He skipped over. "YOU KISSED WILLIAM SOLACE!!!!!"
Will blushed. "No I didn't--" but the damage was already done.
Nico was putting all tomatoes to shame. He stuttered, before curling up into a ball, and shadow traveling to who knows where.
Piper looked like she was ready to explode with happiness and glitter. "SOLANGELOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
And she and Jason rode rainbow unicorns off into the sunset.
THE END.
