"Will you ever grow a brain?" Annabeth said exasperatedly. She gestured towards the pizza on the counter. A quarter of it was eaten, and the rest was decorated to look like Pac Man. Annabeth had just about had it with his childish behavior, but Percy didn't really seem to be listening to her extensive lecture.
"What's the harm? It's not like you were going to eat my pizza," Percy's eyes developed a suspicious gleam, "Were you...?" He asked.
Annabeth sighed. "No. But Percy, you need to remember, we're married now, you have a job, can you please just learn to behave like a regular adult?" She pleaded hopelessly.
Percy got up from the table, and grabbed his new phone off the counter. Yes, phone. Leo got frustrated with the fact that he couldn't use the Internet, so he modified it a little. Monsters couldn't use it to detect them anymore.
"I'm gonna call Piper and Jason," he said casually. "Maybe I should invite Nico too? Yeah." As if he'd made up his mind, he began dialing their numbers.
Annabeth decided to get some more food. When Percy invited them over, they were bound to stay up past midnight. She was pretty sure they didn't need alcohol to act like idiots and annoy the heck out of her.
Throwing her backpack around her shoulders, she picked up her keys and headed to the car. She'd never really liked purses, and her backpack was easier to run with in case she ran into another monster donut or something. Sure, they had good donuts, but the staff wanted to kill you. That was the only downside.
Annabeth got in the car, it was silvery grey. Because that was what Annabeth wanted and Annabeth always won their arguments.
Annabeth rummaged through her bag, and pulled out a phone, and a triumphant smile graced her lips. Punching in Piper's number, she waited for her to pick up.
"Oh hey Annie--"
Annabeth growled. "It's Annabeth, Piper." Piper could be heard laughing on the other end. Not even Percy was aloud to use that nickname. That was where she drew the line.
"Yeah, okay. Annabeth, could you pick up Lily from school? I'm kinda held up here..."
Annabeth rolled her eyes. Another monster, huh? Well, she had to pick up Thea anyways, so it shouldn't be too much trouble. "Yeah, sure."
She hung up.
Percy's POV
Piper was the best at lying. Yeah, she was held up. Because she had to come to our house, but there was no monster. Just her, Nico, Jason, and I. Piper looked excited. Jason looked uncomfortable. Nico had a dark glare on his face and the shadows seemed to be pulled towards him.
"Why am I here anyways?" Nico asked stiffly, obviously a little miffed he was dragged out of bed in the middle of the night to play Truth Or Dare. But honestly, who wouldn't be?
Piper smiled insanely. "Oh Nico...we're playing truth or dare." She cackled and there was a mad glint in her eyes that made Percy tempted to warn Jason his wife had rabies.
Nico stood up calmly. He walked over to the corner, the place where the shadows were thickest. He was about to shadow travel away when they heard a voice.
"I told you not to shadow travel."
Will was standing in the doorway, arms crossed, and a stern look on his face as if he was scolding a child. He had on a plain white T-shirt, jeans, and flip-flops.
Weird fashion statement. (Says the one who sleeps in a mixture of pajamas and Greek battle armor).
Nico seemed to deflate.
Piper looked ecstatic. She scrambled over and dragged Will over to the couch and practically forced him and Nico to sit right next to each other. "More for the game!" She shouted cheerfully.
"Okay Nico, Truth Or Dare?"
Nico looked like he wanted to die. He looked down. His glare was so intense Percy wanted to tell him not to glare a hole into the floor. Annabeth would never forgive him.
"Truth. I ain't doing no dares."
Piper smiled mischievously. "Did you and Will do the do yet...?"
Nico's face looked like a tomato. He fell out of his chair and started coughing and sputtering. Will just sat there on the couch, a smirk on his face.
Jason and Piper looked like they were dying. They started wiping away fake tears. "Or little baby's growing up so fast."
Nico snorted, picking himself off the floor, still a little flustered. "What are you gonna do when Lily gets a boyfriend."
Jason's face darkened. Thunder sounded from outside. "ThEy WiLl EnJoY tHeIr StAy In ThE uNdErWoRlD."
Piper patted his back. "Calm down, Sparky."
