Humans are selfish.
It's just how it is.
We cry when we get hurt.
We cry when others get hurt.
Because it makes us feel sympathy, and that hurts us.
Makes us feel pity.
But I think I cry selfishly.
History is a tragic thing.
So many people have died.
So many souls have been lost before you.
Selfish.
So I wish I was only crying for them, not me.
Because I'll feel selfish.
Is it selfish to think that though?
Because I don't matter in the face of the thousands who had it worse.
Has it worse.
I don't know them at all.
But I know so many people's lives are worse than mine.
I know it must hurt.
Cry for them, not yourself.
Don't cry for yourself. That's selfish crying.
I'll remember that every time I get hurt,
I'm being selfish for crying.
Maybe I care too much.
Or maybe the world cares to little.
We get so caught up in being selfish and thinking about our own problems that now seem so small.
Selfish.
Humans are naturally that way.
Humans are disgusting.
I'm disgusting.
