Hazel, Reyna, and Nico are sent to a camp for the summer. Reyna's sister Hylla was on drugs and Reyna wasn't allowed to see her until she was stable. The camp? Camp Half-Blood. Nico meets a counselor whose a year older than him named William Solace and falls in love. After camp they plan to meet up. Will doesn't show up on time and Nico, with all his insecurities, starts to think he stood him up.
Until he gets a frantic phone call from Will's father:
"There's been an accident. Will didn't make--"
Nico hung up, tense, heart pounding, not wanting to hear the rest.
