Chapter 52

Bully

Smallville

Superman landed in Smallville. As he landed, he created a huge spore in the ground. Superman looked to the skies and used his microscopic vision to see Mongul laughing in space. Superman got out of the spore he created and ran home to his Ma and Pa's house. He needed to speak to Jor-El.

The Kent Farm was almost two miles away from Superman's location but he arrived in a matter of seconds. He ran up to house where he saw Martha and Jonathan sitting inside watching the news. Right once they saw Clark, they ran outside.

"Clark? I thought you were in space." Martha exclaimed as she saw his son, "They're filming you wherever you go. Every news agency in the country is live streaming you and that yellow skinned monster clash."

"Luthor set me up. He caused everything, Lana's death, this fight... I don't know how to beat him, beat Mongul..." Superman informed his parents.

"But Jor-El might." Jonathan stated.

"That's why I'm here. You two need to get inside and go down to the basement. I can't risk you two getting hurt." Superman ordered as he ran to the barn, however his parents still stood there, "Go!"

"Go, honey. I'll be there." Jonathan told Martha.

Martha went back to the house and followed Clark to the barn. As Jonathan entered the barn, he noticed that all the animals were gone. Clark saw that Jonathan was startled by this fact.

"I put them in the basement with Ma. You need to get down there too." Clark said as he approached his red and blue rocket.

Clark turned on the hologram of Jor-El. "Hello, Clark. You're here because of Mongul, aren't you?"

"I am." Superman answered his biological father's question.

"I watching you two fight, very entertaining." Jor-El smiled.

"What do you know about him." Superman mumbled as he started into the hologram's eyes.

"Mongul's species is unknown. The only thing known about him is that his he and his family ruled his entire planet until they started a revolution. They were eventually exiled. Shortly after, they found the Warworld device and took control of it. Nothing is known about what happened to Mongul's family. They're presumed dead, however many speculate that a lot of his family are hiding. They are wanted by the Green Lantern Corps and many other enforcements throughout the Galaxy."

"How do I beat him? You have to know. Krypton had to have encountered him and his family at one point." Superman questioned.

"Mongul has no specific weaknesses. It will require an exceptional amount of strength. Mongul is as strong as you and withstood attacks that had the same power as a nuclear bomb." Jor-El taught Superman, "You will also have to fight smart, use all your powers. Mongul's a strategist, he's experienced. He's been in hundreds of wars and thousands of battles. He will be a difficult opponent to defeat but it is possible."

"Thank you father." Superman thanked Jor-El as his turned off the hologram.

"Clark. Mongul's strong, stronger than anyone you've met but he's nothing but a bully. You've dealt with people like him in the past, you can deal with him. You'll beat him, you just need to try." Jonathan reminded Superman of his past.

Superman heard a loud crashing noise coming from outside. It was close to the barn. "He's here."
