30th Century
Smallville, 30th Century
"Welcome to the future!" Saturn Girl told Clark as they arrived in Smallville. They arrived on the sidewalk and everyone started looking at them. However, after a few seconds they just looked away as if it was something that happened on a daily basis.
Everything was so different. Smallville looked like a futuristic city that was in the movies. There were flying cars, hovering cars, and oddly shaped buildings. There was even a building that had a giant statue of a white dog with a red cape. Clark was amazed, he didn't know Smallville would ever become this technologically advanced.
"This is Smallville?" Clark asked Saturn Girl.
"Yeah, amazing isn't it?" Saturn Girl replied, smiling at Clark.
"Yeah." Clark stated still in shock. He loved the 30th Century so far, he didn't want to leave.
Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad, and Cosmic Boy jumped off the ground and started hovering in the air. Clark stared at them, amazed. His eyes glared. "Whoa, how can you guys do that?"
"We have powers Clark, like you." Cosmic Boy informed Clark.
"The future is different. Everything's flying." Clark stated, "Too bad I can't fly."
Saturn Girl hovered down to the ground and took Clark's hand. "Yes, you can. Just do what I do."
Clark and Saturn Girl jumped at the same time and suddenly, Clark started hovering in the air. Clark was unbalanced at first but Saturn Girl helped him keep his balance. Saturn Girl let go of Clark's hand and Clark hovered on his own.
"I'm flying!" Clark exclaimed as he looked at the ground, "I'm actually flying, like you guys!"
"You want a better view of the city?" Lightning Boy asked, "Follow me!"
Lightning Boy flew up, right under the clouds and Clark followed. Once Clark was high in the air, he stared down, "Everything's so shine. Like it's all brand new."
"Smallville where the headquarters of the Legion of Superheroes is. It's where we mainly operate." Lightning Lad said as Cosmic Boy and Saturn Girl caught up.
"The Legion?" Clark wondered aloud.
"The Legion is made up of eight representatives from different planets, including our planets." Saturn Girl told Clark was the four hovered down and flew around the city.
"That sounds cool." Clark smiled, still looking around at the city. "So, what does the Legion do here?"
Suddenly, a voice came out of Cosmic Boy's ring, "Attention Legion Code Subsection A-4 Downtown Smallville. Kent Avenue and Main."
"We read you Chameleon Boy! We're on it!" Saturn Girl replied to the ring.
"We do what you would do." Cosmic Boy answered Clark's question he asked earlier.
"What do you mean, what I would do?" Clark said as Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, and Lightning Lad flew away.
"Just follow us and you'll find out." Lightning Lad replied.
