Chapter 50
Help
Central City
Superman flew to Central City. It was almost midnight but he had heard Silas call for his help and he came. Superman was supposed to be a hero, no matter what people thought of him. As he arrived, Superman saw ambulances and police cars outside Silas' house. As he got closer, he saw a gurney holding a young, African American man who's body was almost full burned.
Superman flew close to the house and towards the door. The police men and paramedics stared at him in fear as he walked past them. Superman ignored them and walked inside the house to smell ashes everywhere. The house was partially smokey, which annoyed Superman but he got over it.
In front of the TV was Silas, gathering his keys and wallet. He was in a panic and in a hurry. Once Silas spotted Superman standing inside his home, Silas stopped stressing and walked over to him.
"Clark, he sent men to attack my son." Silas explained to Superman, "They burned him alive- I heard his screams and cries but I couldn't do anything, they held me away from my son. They left him defenseless."
Silas started tearing up, "Luthor warned me, he told me he'd do this if I told anyone the truth."
Superman shook his head, "I'm ending this, I'm taking him down."
"You can't. No ones going to side with you, you'll be looked at as a terrorist." Silas informed Superman, he still cared about Superman even though he wanted revenge.
"I don't care." Superman said as he left Silas' home.
Metropolis
Superman arrived at Lois Lane's apartment. He needed a witness, someone to capture Luthor's true colors. Lois was awake, typing a story. Superman saw that she was wearing a purple bathrobe. Superman hovered over Lois' balcony and got her attention. Lois walked outside and crossed her arms.
"Superman... You've been hiding for a bit." Lois muttered.
"You're not scared of me?" Superman asked, surprised.
"No, there's a large part of Metropolis that's see Luthor's bullshit you know?" Lois told Superman. "Why are you here? I don't assume you came out of hiding just to speak to me."
"I need your help. Luthor framed me for Lana Lang's death. The suit she was wearing was designed to self destruct under his timer." Superman handed Lois two blueprints of Lana's VALKYRIE suit that he received from Silas. One was the STAR Labs version, the other was the LexCorp version.
Lois looked at the blueprints, "Where'd you get these?"
"Silas Stone, the man who designed the original version of suit. Luthor blackmailed Stone into keeping quiet. He threatened his son. However, Stone came to me. Luthor found out and this happens." Superman showed Lois the Central City news. "You know who Luthor truly is, Miss Lane. Please help me show everyone else."
"What do you I need to do?" Lois asked without hesitation.
"My suit is bugged. It will record any conversation I have with Luthor. I'm getting a confession out of him." Superman tossed Lois a flash drive, "Give that hard drive to Perry White in four hours. Anything my suit records will transfer over to that thumb stick. I'm taking him down, he's done enough harm."
Superman got ready to fly away, "Wait!" Lois shouted as he prepared to jump, Lois grabbed Superman's hand, "Make sure you come back."
Superman nodded his head and flew to LexCorp.
