Chapter 41

Identity

Central City

Slias had taken the VALKYRIE armor away from Lex after the destruction in Metropolis. Lex had framed Superman and part of it was Silas' fault. He also framed Superman for Lana Lang's death. Lex had set the suit to self destruct after 24 hours. He also controlling the suit with Lana's body in it. Silas wanted to find Superman and tell him the truth, it was the right thing to do.

Silas was in front of a computer screen at home. He was watching the footage of Valkyrie and Superman from Lana's point of view. It was hard to get a shot of Superman's face. He moved at such high speeds, that the camera couldn't even fully scan his face.

Silas tried his hardest to look for footage, scanning every millisecond of the recording. It wasn't until he got to 19.38 seconds that he was able to get a good shot of Superman's face.

When Silas got a good shot of Superman's face, he ran it through the his database which had a file on every American citizen in the world. Superman's face got a match, Clark Kent. However, there was nothing in his file, he was a ghost, a myth. The only thing that was in his file was that he worked for the Daily Planet. The Daily Planet would be where Silas would have to start.

Daily Planet

Silas had taken a plane back to Metropolis the next day. He was cautious when in Metropolis, he looked for many of Lex Luthor's spies or guards. Silas didn't want anything to do with Luthor anymore. When Silas got to the 52nd floor of the Daily Planet, all he heard was arguing.

"Perry, I need to know where Clark is, we were writing something on Luthor and he has half of the document!" A black haired woman shouted at the editor in chief, Perry.

"Lois, he took leave. He said someone he knew died or something like that. He's probably back in Smallville." Perry replied, "If you want your story, go find him there but don't be greedy. He might not be in sunshine land right now."

"Smallville, that's where Clark Kent is." Silas thought to himself.
