Clark was at home and turned on the news. It was nighttime and there was dim lighting in the living room. He was still thinking about Jonathan and couldn't get his mind off of him. Clark had just lost another person close to him, his father.
"Today in the news, the alien known as Mongul has been detained by CADMUS Labs. After his duel with the seemingly hero, Superman, CADMUS captured him in a state of unconsciousness. There have been plans discovered that Mongul intended to destroy Earth with the Key that LexCorp had discovered. Thanks to Superman, those plans have failed." The reporter said, "Speaking of Lex Luthor, thanks to an audio recording released by Lois Lane at the Daily Planet, Lex Luthor has been exposed for the murder of Lana Lang, assault, pyromania, blackmail, and conspiring with the alien terrorist, Mongul. Luthor has yet to comment on these 'allegations' but is in custody at Stryker's Island. There may be more charges for Mr. Luthor and Mongul though, a man of the name, Jonathan Kent has passed away in the battle between Superman and Mongul. Mongul is claiming that he killed him but this begs the question, was Lex Luthor involved? We will be covering this story throughout the week. Kent leaves behind his son and his beloved wife. In other news, Victor Stone, son of acclaimed scientist, Silas Stone is in critical condition at STAR Labs. Two nights ago, Luthor had mercenaries sent to Stone's home to kill Victor. Luckily he's still alive but in bad condition. After losing all of his limbs and suffering from third degree burns on 90 percent of what's left of his body, the family asks to keep him in your prayers. Our final news story involves the people of Metropolis. Metropolis has always been a city made for leaders. The people have always needed someone to guide them. With Lex Luthor being exposed, they don't have anyone and they are calling for Superman. There have been signs all around the city with Superman's S emblem on them. They have been calling him their savior. Some are even going as far to calling him the savior of the world. We all need him but with the way he's been treated lately, none of us know if he's coming back. Superman, if you are watching this, Metropolis asks for you to come back and forgive them."
Clark turned off the TV and sighed. He missed his father.
