Your table in the kitchen had four different pictures. The oldest was a picture of you and your sister standing beside your dad. All of you were dressed in ridiculous Halloween costumes. The second one was of your military unit. The third frame contained pictures of your sister's children at various stages of development. The last one was my favourite. You and I on opposite ends of the couch reading different sections of the newspaper. Just like we did every morning. I loved the domestic simplicity of the picture. I liked the fact that you thought that picture defined us.
